I just needed to get to the beach…⛱️ Cooling off by the sea. Yes you would be forgiven for thinking this was the South of France, and not in fact an hour and a bit outside South London. Half term has been a scorcher, I’ll admit I’m not getting much sleep in the heat, and factor 50 well and truly on!

But, so lovely to have some family time with a meal deal and an ice cream by the (very warm) Kent coast.

Plus I’ve been trying out something special, yes can you spot your new MakeBox summer project?

Gosh, if you are on social media, it may seem like the world and her aunt are having a better time than you right now. But don’t worry, here is a little reality check. Not all of us are clinking champagne glasses at Chelsea flower show or on a beach somewhere. May, June and July are genuinely times for overwhelm for us all. With another half term and summer holidays looming, I know I will work harder than ever this time of year, late nights and juggling family and general “life”. If you feel the same, it’s not just you. Try to take some small moments to breathe, stitch something, make time for you, this is not forever!
