Anutu Design Studio Founded by award-winning artist and designer Jacob von Sternberg in the 1990s. Jacob is a versatile, academic artist and designer with German American roots.

He travelled the world in search of his family. The essence of unity is reflected in his art. With an academic background in History of Art, Physics, and Philosophy, Jacob is deeply interested in the use of art as actionable events within theories of knowledge. In my interior design career, together with my clients, my team and I soon won several prestigious awards for our holistic design approach based on my research and the principles of nature. I have worked as the overall creator of distinctive private properties with a focus on longevity and sustainable eco tourism projects globally. Developed methods in the fields of longevity in cooperation with ETH Zurich in 2004 and auto response learning in 2013. Since a couple of years I focus also on intergenerational responsibilities applied to human rights in order to create a more sustainable human rights framework spanning over a multi-generational horizon. I inspire the development of a further advanced human rights framework, that integrates the needs of more than one generation only. Thus protecting future generations and preserving earth for further generations.

Mid-Century Modern & Watercolor Art With a Unique Touch

"Treasure the ordinary, treasure the eccentric, whatever is made out of caring, respect it." Award-winning artist Jacob von Sternberg prefers his painting to be a development of ideas. Emotion in slow motion - watercolor, ink and digital.

“I prefer my painting to be a development of ideas rather than static images. I often use different styles or unusual color combinations to achieve this. The life that goes on around me, the places I’ve been, or the times I’ve lived through are reflected in my paintings. My work has always helped me refine self awareness, and provided an outlet for expression. In my pursuit I have won several awards for my watercolor paintings and I have sold many works to individuals and businesses. I have done solo shows and been a featured artist several times. Many of my paintings have been acquired by international luxury hotel chains and are enjoyed by international guests every day. I love to create commissioned artwork that fit perfectly for unusual architectural situations - private and commercial projects. Art installations are another focus of my work - for the hotel industry and private clients. I am acquiring an international following. I am honored by the appreciation my paintings and illustrations have received. Thank you!”
