From the layered interiors to the stone exterior, every detail in this Cotswolds home is a reflection of its surrounding landscape.

Botanical forms, natural fibres, and crafted timber are layered throughout to create warmth and a quiet, grounding balance. Designed as a joyful retreat from city life, this Grade II listed home embraces symmetry to instill a sense of calm, finished with subtle pops of colour that bring the spaces to life.

It was a true pleasure working alongside and to bring this fast-tracked project to life.

From lime-mortared brick to oak-clad upper levels, the house is shaped by materials chosen for touch, longevity and how they weather over time. Brick will soften, oak will silver, and the building will quietly record light, season and place.

Elevated living spaces open towards long views across the Orford Ness marshes and the Suffolk coast, allowing shifting skies and coastal light to become part of the interior experience.

Material and form are closely intertwined, with the house sitting comfortably within its historic setting. Craft, texture and local references guide the architecture, resulting in a home that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted - shaped by making, landscape and a strong sense of belonging.
