So todayā€™s update, shiny sink Sunday, although I donā€™t have to shine my sink today, our wonderful cleaner was here on Friday, you may think a cleaner ? but husband and I absolutely hate housework, and to be fair we are very busy working all the time, so this weekend weā€™ve had 2 weddings, one of which was very special to me as it was one of my friends for 30 years that got married on Friday, Marky if youā€™re reading this you didnā€™t strike gold mate when you met Charlotte, you struck platinum and I wish you both all the happiness in the world, and to our other bride Jen, I wish you the same happiness and thankyou for choosing Oakwood Florist to provide your wedding flowers, we hope you had the most special day, Iā€™m off now to enjoy my well deserved glass of w**e in the garden in this beautiful weather,

So hereā€™s whatā€™s happened today, a bit going on, but now itā€™s the end of the day Jane and I are just having a chat before we go home, Barry Manilow playing in the background, now I absolutely love ole Bazza, but this is how the conversation is going
Me : Aww Iā€™m going to gutted when ole Bazza kicks the bucket
Jane : I reckon the next 3 to die will be Barry Manilow, David Attenborough and Joan Collins
Me : oh but doesnā€™t Joan Collins look amazing at 90 odd
Jane : yeah that because sheā€™s probably been drinking Hameldafide all her life
Me ( absolutely wetting myself laughing), Jane thatā€™s not even a word

Jane then proceeds to shout at her phone several times Hameldafide to try and get the correct spelling of a word that doesnā€™t exist
( think she meant formaldehyde )
Now this may be a scenario where you had to be there to appreciate how funny it was, but I can honestly say I havenā€™t laughed like that in a very long time,
Never a dull moment here Iā€™ll tell ya šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Been super quiet on here recently, so much stuff going on, but whatā€™s been happening at Oakwood Florist,
Had someone come in with a bunch of supermarket flowers asking if I can make them into a bouquet, in my head I was thinking how about you eff right off, but my actual response was ā€œ Iā€™m sorry I donā€™t deal with another companies flowers ā€œ,
Fridge is still buggered, and this morning Jane when out into the the yard and told me there was a dog s**te in the yard, then proceeded to tread in said dog s**t before I had the chance to wash it away, there was a lot of expletives coming out of her mouth Iā€™ll tell ya
Anyway you may be thinking bore off, so I shall, until next timeā€¦ā€¦..

So, shiny sink Sunday, said sink is very shiny, had my in laws round for a cuppa, fu***ng long way to come, they live in Frinton, but lovely to see them all the same, shop freakishly quiet today so I actually got to do what people think I do all day, and that was to play with flowers all day, something very calming and therapeutic about flowers, fridge still buggered, but tomorrowā€™s another day šŸŒøšŸŒøšŸŒø

So Iā€™ve been abit quiet on here this week, Iā€™ve had lots going on, donā€™t post about my personal life because frankly who cares, but this is whatā€™s happening, Iā€™ve got a dad whoā€™s 81, with dementia, he refuses to admit thereā€™s a problem, Iā€™ve got a landlord ( who is actually a decent guy ) who wants to put my rent up to a hundred million quid a year ( heā€™s just running a business so letā€™s not hate on him ), Iā€™ve had an electric bill for Ā£400 for a month because of the bastard heatwave and my big flower fridge was working on overdrive, and now the fu***ng thing has packed up again, and Iā€™ve done something to my back and itā€™s killing me, butā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ Iā€™m still there at the shop every day though, doing what I love, but cā€™mon universe please give me a break šŸ™

So whatā€™s been going on the last few days, shop been average, flower fridge needs repairing again ( donā€™t panic like I did )as the temperature has dropped my flowers will still be fresh and beautiful as ever, Broken car is now fixed, had a pop up shop today, lovely independent small businesses selling their wares in the shop and now Iā€™m home. Prepped the veggies for Sunday lunch tomorrow, cabbage, carrots, brussel sprouts and peas, wish my husband luck as I May spontaneously combust after eating that lot ( he doesnā€™t eat veggies ), so now Iā€™m off to viakal my kitchen sink, who doesnā€™t love a shiny sink šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

So todays post is about me again, tomorrow is our 3rd wedding anniversary ( we were mature newlyweds), the picture on the left is my Anniversary present from Husband, and before anyone hates on him is exactly what I wanted and I love it, the second pic is us on a beach somewhere ( AI generated) as we havenā€™t a hoping hells chance of a holiday any time soon, we look good though even if I do say so myself, so thatā€™s an over and out from me, I m treating myself to 2 whole days off,
Updates will resume on Friday when Iā€™m sure there will be some debacle to report

Not much has happened today, me eyeballs are hanging out my head as Iā€™ve been working for 18 days straight, Iā€™m knackered.
We had our networking event on Wednesday which was a great success, thanks to all who came,
I also had a customer come in during the week and this is how the conversation went
Me :Hi would you like some help?
Customer : Oh Iā€™ve lost my husband
Me : oh Iā€™m so sorry to hear that
Customer: oh no heā€™s not dead, heā€™s just wandered off and I donā€™t know where he is
Me feeling very stupid, ok, let me know if you need any help šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
