We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Andrew Fordyce, Chairman and founding member of ifse Group. Andrew passed away peacefully on 10th January 2025, leaving behind an incredible legacy of leadership, innovation, and dedication to the hospitality design industry.

From his early days in hospitality management to creating ifse in 1991 with Ron Hodge and Bill Moore, Andrew’s career was defined by his creativity and passion. He brought his vision to life, designing iconic spaces for renowned brands like Williams F1, Kew Gardens, and Sony.

As a leader, Andrew was not only a pioneer of ideas, but also a champion for his team, guiding ifse’s transition into an Employee-Owned Trust in 2022, a first in the industry.

His spirit, kindness, and innovative mind will forever be a part of the ifse family and the wider industry.

Thank you for inspiring us all, Andrew. Rest in peace.

On Friday, the ifse, Romann Catering Equipment Engineers, and the Bettaquip family came together to celebrate our Christmas bash at The Store in Croydon 🎄

We partied in the stunning, preserved space that once housed Sainsbury’s grocery store in the early 1900s. The team enjoyed delicious dishes, fancy cocktails, and fantastic music.

Designing and delivering - a striking staff restaurant for ’s UK head office 📸

Situated on the beautiful North Devon coastline, the team proposed ‘THE HUB’ - a modern staff restaurant complete with a bright red neon, built-in micromarket, state-of-the-art kitchen and range of flexible seating options with an impressive view overlooking the neighbouring park.

This striking staff restaurant is the result of Creative Director Sally, F&B Development Director Steven as well as our in-house project management teams efforts in bringing this space to life.

It’s safe to say that the on-site staff were impressed with the transformation, completely reimagining what was an old, traditional canteen into a modern and vibrant dining destination.

An unforgettable first impression to ’s UK head office 📸

As part of a major investment to redevelop their Ilfracombe-based headquarters, we were thrilled to be invited by to completely reimagine their reception and restaurant space.

Rising to the challenge, the team curated a welcoming and naturally-lit reception area with a clean and minimalist design, inclusive of an impressive TDK-branded counter, slatted wooden panelling and a large modern chandelier between the ground and first floor.

Kudos to F&B Development Director Steven and Creative Director Sally of the team for developing such a memorable entrance to TDK’s North Devon head office.

Congratulations to the team for donating 60kg of essentials to the ’s ! 🥫👏

The Trussell Trust is an incredible anti-poverty charity that provides practical support to those in need and advocates for a future where no one has to rely on emergency food.

Following our first donation some months back, the team came together to gather essentials and non-perishables for the 9th busiest food bank out of 1,500 across the country. As an EOT, we’re committed to supporting the many food banks under the network.

A heartfelt thank you to our Head of Construction, Neil, for organizing this effort on behalf of his wife Hannah, who works at the Lewisham Trust 🙏

We’re excited to continue supporting this essential charity to ensure that Lewisham locals have access to the food they need.

Transforming the Catering Experience at Croydon College! 🏫

We’re excited to announce our partnership with our local college to completely revamp their catering offerings.

Croydon College reached out to us after noticing a steady decline in students staying on-site for lunch. Our mission: create a compelling and competitive alternative to nearby high street favourites.

Our proposal featured enticing visuals of a modern-industrial, BOXPARK-style food concept. The college loved our vision and gave the ifse team the green light to design and build the brand new ‘STREET HALL’ ✅

With construction already underway, we can’t wait to unveil the final result. Stay tuned! 👀

Christening our newly refurbed conference room with the annual icompany update! 👏

Led by directors Julia, Adam and Rohan, the team were delighted to celebrate the results of a fruitful 2023/24 financial year - a testament to the dedication and hard work of the and teams.

Times like these help us reflect on how far we’ve come and motivate us to keep driving forward, appreciating that every single team member plays an integral part in ensuring the business’s success.

We’d also like to thank Chairman Andrew for transforming ifse into an employee-owned trust (EOT), meaning all employees directly benefit from the success of the company.
