➡️ Curious how far this guest toilet has come? Swipe to see the “before” - then keep reading to discover the design story behind it.

✨ Guest toilets are some of the best spaces to play with design. Because time spent here is short, you can be bolder with finishes, textures, and statement pieces without fear of quickly tiring of them.

This powder room is proof that “fun” doesn’t have to mean loud colour. A sculptural travertine pedestal sink and richly textured wallpaper set the tone, while a beautiful mirror and fluted wall lights subtly echo the home’s art deco influences. Luxurious brass fittings and the layered beauty of marble flooring and wall details elevate the space further, making every element feel considered and refined.

Notice what’s missing? Not a trace of standard white - even the ceiling lights were painted - creating an immersive, refined atmosphere that feels anything but ordinary.

Would you dare to go this bold in your own guest toilet, or keep it understated? Save this post for future inspiration and let me know your thoughts below.

Make it functional — but make it cool.
That was the brief for this dining space, designed to work double duty: effortless and casual by day, and stylishly inviting for evening entertaining, especially with its direct link to the adjoining bar area.

To dial up the cool factor? Enter Cara Delevingne — and a cheetah.
The striking, oversized artwork by David Yarrow doesn’t just decorate the space: it defines it. We have always believed that art should do more than fill a wall. It should set the mood, spark a feeling, and shape the energy of a room.

Sculptural furniture, a graceful alabaster chandelier, and layered lighting complete the look, striking just the right balance between grounded and refined.

Favourite spots are those quiet corners where time seems to slow. Imagine a peaceful nook by the window, your weekend newspaper in hand, light dancing through the room, and the gentle hum of birdsong from the trees outside.

This serene corner is the perfect place to unwind, inviting you to slow down and soak in the moment. The soft iridescent blues of the butterflies in the cabinet are mirrored in the fabric of the daybed, with creams and neutrals that gently highlight the rich blues. The dark flooring creates a sophisticated backdrop, making this space just as welcoming in the morning light as it is in the evening’s soft glow.

I hope you’ve found your own favourite spot - and that this weekend, you get to truly enjoy it.

Does a kids’ bathroom have to be childish to be fun - or bland to be timeless?
We don’t think so.

This space started life as a tired combo of white tiles and chrome fittings. The brief: keep it budget-conscious yet high-quality, with enough personality to feel special, and enough longevity to grow with the family.

The result? A compact bathroom both kids and adults are happy to share. A freestanding tub adds a touch of luxury, while a smart shower setup keeps things practical.

And our favourite detail? The playful picture wall: adding colour, charm, and a bit of everyday joy.

Would you be happy to share this bathroom with the little ones?

First impressions, quietly made.
In this entrance area, every detail was designed to feel intentional yet effortless. Bespoke wall mouldings add a sense of quiet architecture and rhythm, while sculptural wall lights draw the eye with their bold, geometric lines. The hand-forged base of the table introduces a layer of texture and artistry, grounding the space with warmth and character.
A calm, welcoming moment that sets the tone for the rest of the home.

Just back from an immensely inspiring trip to the Loire Valley, and what a brain holiday it was. This journey had been on my bucket list for years, and it was every bit as magical as I’d hoped: centuries of history, rolling vineyards, and châteaux so beautiful they feel like fever dreams.

More than 100,000 steps later, we visited everything from the grandest castles to the tiniest gems. Here are a few favourites and surprises along the way:

🌹 Most romantic: Château de la Mothe Chandeniers
A hauntingly beautiful ruin, draped in greenery and atmosphere. The kind of place that lingers in your mind.

🎨 Biggest surprise: Château de Chaumont
Wonderfully restored, filled with contemporary art, and gardens that rival the Chelsea Flower Show. Why it’s not on every top 10 list is beyond me.

🏡 Best interiors: Château de Chenonceau
Admittedly the most visited, but it still feels like a lived-in home. Maybe because it was shaped by women who loved it. Elegant, intimate, and full of charm.

🌿 Best gardens: Château de Villandry
For anyone who has ever dreamed of symmetrical flower beds or a parterre that could make Versailles blush.

🎩 Most impressive: Chambord
Immense and theatrical. It may lack the warmth and depth of others, but the architecture alone is worth the trip. Book the extended tour for secret rooms and tower-top views.

🕊 Best hidden find: Château Gaillard
Just steps from Clos Lucé (where da Vinci spent his final years), yet worlds apart in feel. Peaceful, small, and only recently reopened to visitors.

🏰 Castle I’d move into tomorrow: Château d’Azay-le-Rideau
Elegant, serene, and just the right size to redecorate…

✨ Best place we stayed: Domaine de la Tortinière
A gorgeous hideaway nestled in nature, with the best food of the trip (and we had a lot of contenders). Elegant yet unpretentious, and perfectly located.

🎢 Most overrated: Amboise
Both the castle and the town felt more like a Renaissance theme park. Little remains of the original splendour.

Also: I now feel a deep need for a medieval tapestry and may attempt to grow apple tree hedges around my flower beds. Apparently, that’s a thing — and I’m all in

From obstacle to standout feature ✨
When we began this project, this central column felt more like a burden than a blessing: a structural element housing an outdated, uninspired fireplace, awkwardly positioned and impossible to remove.

But instead of fighting it, we embraced it … and transformed it into a sculptural centrepiece that now sets the tone for the entire space.

The concept was simple: keep the original structure intact, but elevate it through exquisite materiality. After an extensive search, I chose this expressive Calacatta Cohen marble — a stone that looks like it’s been painted with golden brushstrokes by nature herself, thousands of years ago.

We also integrated softly illuminated shelving, perfect for displaying treasured objects, meaningful books, and thoughtful accents - like the little pots from . The result is both functional and emotional: warm, inviting, and filled with personality.

A once-bland necessity has become a joy-filled design statement.
Would you have guessed this was a structural leftover?

10 Things About Me
A little intro for those of you who are new here (and a few fun facts for those who’ve been around for a while!) 👋
1. If you're here, thank you
Whether you're a fellow design lover, future client, trade partner or simply curious – I'm so happy you're here.
2. Where I'm based & what I do
I'm London-based but work internationally, offering interior design consultations to help your project turn out as beautiful and seamless as you envision. Think of me as your Partner-in-Design – here for bespoke, à la carte support without needing to outsource the whole project (unless you’d like to!).
3. Design wasn’t always the plan
My career began in global consulting across tech and automotive. But I pivoted to follow my passion for interior design and property development – and I’m so glad I did. Every step led me here, and I truly love what I do.
4. I grew up in a construction company
My parents ran a third-generation business in the construction sector. Family and work life were closely linked – my brother and I basically grew up playing on workshop floors. (It was the '80s – perfectly normal, right? 😉)
5. My aesthetic is transitional and timeless, with a dash of drama
I love refined materials, beautiful joinery, calming contrast, and a confident splash of colour. But my consultations aren’t about me – they’re about bringing your vision to life.
6. What inspires me most
Travel, natural materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of old-world architecture – I find endless inspiration in all of it.
7. What I believe in
That the best projects are collaborative wins – for the client, the tradespeople, and the designer. The process doesn’t need to feel like a zero-sum game.
8. My daily ritual
A quiet moment with my morning matcha to gather my thoughts. As someone who can’t tolerate coffee, I’ll be forever grateful to the Japanese for inventing matcha.
9. What I’ll always be obsessed with
Natural materials (especially natural stone!) and true craftsmanship. They never go out of style.
10. A fun fact
At 12, I had my one and only brush with showbiz – appearing on a kids’ episode of Wheel of Fortune. Memorable… but unlikely to repeat! 😉

Unpopular opinion? Maybe. But we’ll say it anyway: Nothing beats natural stone.
Sure, man-made surfaces like quartz, Dekton, and porcelain are everywhere right now, and they absolutely have their place. But when it comes to character, depth, and lasting beauty, natural stone is in a league of its own.

But you want to make sure you don’t regret your decision to go for natural stone? Here are my personal Do’s and Don’ts before you commit.

❌ Don’t assume marble is the only natural stone worth considering.
✅ Do your research. Granite is incredibly durable (and no, it’s not stuck in the ‘80s if you pick the right type). But for me, the standout is quartzite with its striking colours and veining - like the stunning Patagonia featured above.
And if your heart is still set on marble? There are more hard-wearing varieties out there. Or you might simply choose to embrace the natural patina that develops over time. It’s part of the charm.

❌ Don’t think polished is your only option.
✅ Do explore finishes like honed (a smooth matte) or leathered/tumbled (with soft texture). These offer a completely different look and feel - less shine, more sophistication.

❌ Don’t skip sealing. You will regret it.
✅ Do use a good-quality stone sealer and stick to stone-safe cleaners. Most reseals are quick and easy and don’t require a specialist. But if you want a deep refresh down the line, there are professionals who can bring your surfaces back to life.

❌ Don’t leave acidic (lime juice for your margarita?!?) or staining substances (strong coffee for the morning after?!?) to linger.
✅ Do clean up spills like lemon juice, vinegar, or coffee as soon as you can. And if something goes wrong? Don’t panic. A skilled stone specialist can restore more than you'd expect.

Natural stone isn’t just a design choice, it’s a long-term relationship. Get to know it, treat it right, and it will age beautifully right alongside your home.
