Such a lovely day at BOGB Community’s Montrose Park Sports Day... windy enough to send half the art corner flying, but full of colour, creativity and connection. Children, youth and adults alike came together in unity to paint canvases, decorate footballs and create their own flags. And with all the chasing after runaway artwork, the art corner holder definitely got their exercise too 😁🌬️🍃

…And while we don’t usually pick favourites, seeing The Lorax appear on a little coaster today made my heart melt. The creativity from all ages was just incredible 💛✨

We noticed we hadn't clearly introduced Delusiodoodle CIC here on Facebook, so we wanted to share a calm overview of who we are and what we do.

ABOUT US

OUR MISSION
Delusiodoodle exists to support people who feel isolated, overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure how to approach traditional services.
Through lived neurodivergent experience, we understand how hard it can be to seek support when there's no gentle, creative space to ease you in.

OUR APPROACH
Our work is shaped by our founder's neurodivergent, grounding and reflective approach. We bring lived insight into how people connect, open up and feel safe enough to engage.

WHAT OUR SPACES FEEL LIKE
We create calm, sensory-aware sessions where connection is soft and optional. Share what you've made, chat if you feel comfortable or simply rest quietly in community. Engagement is encouraged, never forced.

WHERE WE WORK
We support community spaces, workplaces and schools with creative wellbeing sessions. Our workshops help people reset, feel valued and reconnect with themselves and others, on site or off site.
Creativity, grounding and imaginative play woven into everyday life.

OUR VALUES
Honesty - Open, gentle communication that lets people simply be themselves.
Consistency - Steady, reliable sessions people can trust.
Care - Warm, empathetic spaces held with genuine intention.
Boundaries - Safe, structured environments where engagement is optional and pressure-free.
Peace - Calm moments and creative stillness that give people room to breathe.

OUR GOAL
One love - with ourselves and with others.
Our goal is for everyone to feel free enough to self-reflect, reconnect, and become grounded in their own energy.
Not clinical.
Not whimsical.
Just simple, human creativity that helps people feel more at ease.

OUR NAME
Delusiodoodle began as Sammi's way of putting the loud, tangled parts of her mind onto paper - turning chaos into something calm and clear.
What started as a personal grounding practice has grown into a gentle creative space for others too.
A soft, humourous reclaiming od the messy mind and a reminder that creativity can bring clarity, connection and ease.

Last year, there were over 400 recorded cases of both verbal and physical abuse towards frontline street cleaning and collection staff across the UK. No one should have to face that while doing their job, and it’s had a real impact on people’s mental and physical wellbeing.

High‑Viz Heroes Day took place on 26 June and has been launched on Veolia’s StreetKind website to highlight the hard work these teams do every day. The campaign shares messages of thanks and recognition from residents and businesses alike.

Today at Ashford Place, our group created a gratitude chain for Veolia: small plaques carrying messages of thanks. As these are the kinds of jobs that only get noticed when they aren’t done, we hope this small gesture feels appreciated.

That’s a team that deserves the best gratitude.

Today we’re joining ahead of 26th June to recognise the frontline workers who keep our streets safe, clean and moving, especially in this heat.

Last year there were over 400 recorded cases of verbal and physical abuse towards street cleansing and collection teams.

These are the kinds of jobs that only get noticed when they’re not done and the people doing them deserve better.

This piece is our small way of saying thank you and we’d love others to join in.

If you feel inspired, create your own message, drawing or photo of appreciation and share it with the hashtag to help spread some kindness.

In our workshops next week, our group warm‑up will focus on , creating small pieces that celebrate the essential work our hi‑viz teams do every day.

Community care starts with noticing the people who look after our everyday spaces.
