Hand & Lock in Japan with John Smedley ✨

Since launching Hand & Lock Japan, embroidery artist has taken part in a series of live embroidery demonstrations with .jp in stores across Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Ginza.

We also created an exclusive goldwork embroidered brooch for the collaboration, inspired by John Smedley’s iconic jay bird motif from its UK archives.
