There’s something so special about this part. 🤍

Seeing one of my prints carefully prepared, rolled and wrapped, ready to leave the studio and begin its journey to a new home never stops feeling exciting.

Because behind every order is a person who connected with a piece enough to choose it for their own space — and that means more to me than I can really put into words.

I always imagine that moment when it’s finally unwrapped, framed and hung… becoming part of someone’s home, their everyday view, their little place of calm.

This one is almost ready to go. ✨

There’s something about the ocean that always feels deeper than what we can see.

Whispers of the Deep was inspired by that hidden world beneath the surface — shifting light, submerged colour, movement, and those quiet patterns that appear for a moment before disappearing again.

Deep blues dissolve into turquoise and soft sea-glass tones, creating a piece that feels both powerful and calming. Almost like looking down into clear water and wondering what lies beneath.

For me, this piece is about the quieter pull of the sea — the part that asks you to slow down, look a little closer, and lose yourself in it for a while.

What’s your favourite colour?

Mine has always been blue.

Not just a colour, but a feeling.

The blue of clear water, endless skies, and that quiet moment beneath the surface where everything slows down. It’s where I feel most at peace—away from the noise, immersed in light, movement, and calm.

The ocean has inspired me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would imagine swimming beneath the waves into a world of stillness and wonder. That longing for freedom, beauty, and serenity continues to find its way into every painting I create.

When I paint, I’m not simply capturing the colours of the sea. I’m trying to capture the feeling it gives me—the sense of escape, healing, and connection that comes from being close to the water.

Perhaps that’s why blue keeps calling me back.

When it comes to choosing art, size can completely change how a room feels.

Too small and a piece can get lost. Go larger, and suddenly the artwork becomes part of the architecture of the space — creating balance, impact and a real focal point.

There’s something powerful about the moment you realise that wanting a different life also means being willing to choose differently.

We can ask for change, for peace, for freedom, for something more… but if we keep returning to the same habits, the same fears, the same places that no longer fit us, the ending rarely changes.

Sometimes the shift is quiet.

A boundary.
A brave decision.
Walking away.
Starting again.
Choosing yourself when the easier option is to stay where you are.

The sea reminds me of this constantly — nothing stays still. It moves, reshapes, retreats and returns. And somehow, through all that movement, it becomes something new.

Maybe we’re allowed to do the same.

You don’t have to know exactly where the next chapter is taking you.

You just have to be brave enough to stop rereading the old one. 🌊✨

Where Light Glows was born from one of those evenings that Cornwall does so effortlessly.

When the sky turns to warm apricot, the sea catches every shade of pink, and the last light lingers just a little longer over the coastline.

It’s never just about the colours.

It’s about that feeling you get when everything suddenly feels quieter. Softer. Lighter.

The kind of evening that reminds you to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be present.

That’s what I wanted to capture here.

Not an exact place, but the emotion of standing by the coast as the day gently fades into night.

Part of my Coastal Light Collection, Where Light Glows is a celebration of warmth, hope, and those fleeting moments of beauty that stay with us long after the sun has disappeared.

Because sometimes, all a room needs is a little more light. ✨
