What the actual f...!

Came to visit the cousins to feast on the leftovers the humans throw out, you know 'new year, new me' and the like, and now stranded!

My feathers would freeze trying to fly in this so, I'm reduced to charity.

Ronnie & Reggie the Crow Twins thought they were being clever following me here but I soon put them straight!

I will be glad to get back home to Lossie and that salty sea air!

Clock's ticking, feathers are ruffling.
Patience? Never heard of it 🙄
While Ben and Sue are faffing with sails and wax, I'm here watching the waves roll in - and wondering how long before someone finally feeds me chips!

The humans keep saying they're "nearly ready." Nearly! 🙄

While Ben's been keeping me busy on the boat, Sue's been faffing around with wax and wicks for something she calls 'Magnolia Cove'. Apparently it's all about candles, not fish - which, frankly, I don't see the point of.

Still, I hear it all relaunches on 28 October. So until then. I'll be here to keep watching, ruffle a few feathers and tell you the truth behind the fuss.

Ah, Lossiemouth, my hometown, the cradle of my glory and the nest of my youth. The place where I once stole an entire sausage roll from a honeymooning tourist and lived off it for three days. But the time had come to leave behind the comforts and plentiful chip suppers of Lossiemouth to begin my off...

Signal is not great for Beller's crew at present, so Stevie stopped by to see how things were.

Su's not feeling green but a lovely shade of red from all the sun last week and Ben's working overtime to get the wind in Beller's sails.

Currently sailing across the Sea of the Hebrides from Skye to Rum. More photos to follow

Beller and crew's last 2 days

Wick - Scrabster
Passing Dunscamby Head, the most northeasterly point of both Mainland Scotland and GB and the Rocks of Mey and joining the tidal race known as 'The Merry Men of Mey', a fast tidal stream in the Pentland Firth which divides mainland Scotland and the
Orkney Islands.

Dunnet Head is the most northernly point of GB, aswell as a lighthouse itvhas an Observatory and is an RSPB
nature reserve due to the bird life.

Scrabster is a small village where the ferry takes you to Stromness.

Scrabster - Loch Eriboll
Along the beautifully rugged
coastline, with a pod of dolphins
accompanying us, an exquisite
Guillemot looking for scraps passing an impressive display of caves, finally anchoring in the very beautiful Loch Eriboll.

Final preparations aboard Beller have been made, Sue has been nagging Ben to put suncream on and Stevie has checked conditions and confirmed it's a beautiful day to set sail.

Not much in the way of wind but Stevie will give a directing wing for catching the best of it.

Meet Stevie -
lossiemouth's cheekiest seagull,
part-time guardian angel and full-time sandwich thief 🥪

With windswept feathers, a love for burnt pizza and two humans (Ben & Sue) under his watchful wing, Stevie's stories are equal parts nonsense and
nautical adventure.
