Master bedroom & en-suite for a returning lovely couple in Gorleston.

Full redec - Crown white vinyl matt to ceiling and walls. Woodwork finished in Johnstones aqua satin.

All walls & woodwork sanded using dustless sanding setup. Hairline crack raked out, sealed and filled. Stubborn water stained window sill was sanded back to bare and had a coat of wood dye to soak into the grain and then two coats of a light oak varnish.

It’s always appreciated when someone takes the time to share a post or leave a review/recommendation.
Being self employed is great but it does come with its challenges. Reading recommendations really does mean a lot and reminds me of how lucky I am to run a small business and be in a trade that I love.

▪️Black woodwork? - Yes please!▪️

From the minute I quoted for these new customers in Lowestoft and they said they wanted all woodwork in black I knew the final product would look amazing.

Ceilings and walls had been plastered. New skirting boards and architraves added, however the customers were concerned about the awful finish to the door frames (from previous owner).

Layers of old paint which had never been sanded, filled or caulked. All fully prepped, filled, caulked & primed in a tinted shellac primer to give a great long lasting finish.

•Ceilings - Ultra flat matt
•Walls - Calico vinyl matt
•Woodwork - Interior matt finish
•uPVC & radiators - Bradite One can eggshell

A pleasure to stand back upon completion with very happy customers!

Before & After - Bedroom

This bedroom had a problem external wall and stains kept pushing through causing the paint to fail in some areas and for mould spores to start growing.

Failed areas scraped back to remove all loose paint. All walls/woodwork throughly sanded. All cracks were raked out, sealed and filled. Whole external wall, section of ceiling and other affected areas sealed with Zinsser BIN.

That gave a solid base to start the full redec.
•2x coat durable white matt emulsion to ceiling
•2x coat Crown clean extreme - White Pepper to walls
•Woodwork and radiator primed/uc and finished in Albany Super Gloss

Customer very happy and no more stains will come back through those walls!

These walls had a lot of surface defects and patches of peeling paint.

Lots of filler and sanding to get a great flat finish. All patches of peeling paint were scraped back, spot primed, filled and then coated with Zinsser Guardz before final top coats.

Taken from a soft sheen finish to durable matt - white to ceiling and Crown clean extreme “Entwistle Walk” to walls.

Skirting, frame and sill throughly prepped and finished in Johnstones Aqua Satin.

Wallpaper added to feature wall.

Hall and bathroom completed last week for new customers in Gorleston.

•Full redecoration to both•
The woodwork hadn’t previously been prepared correctly which resulted in top layers just peeling away with ease (unfortunately this is far to common)

All skirting boards and frames, scraped, sanded and filled and a coat of shellac primer to give a solid base before the finish coat of Albany Super Gloss.

•Ceilings in hall - White Ultra Matt
•Walls in hall - Crown Clean Extreme - Dash of nutmeg
•Bathroom ceiling and walls in a soft sheen finish - white to ceiling and Crown wheatgrass to walls.

These are things I get asked at work regularly. Always replied with a laugh and yes, when it finally gets finished! 😂

I love to start a new decorating project at home but it can take days/weeks/months to finish!

We love colour in our home and our dining room was finished over the Christmas/ new year period.

Ceiling in white ultra matt, all woodwork finished in Crown Crimson Fox (which I tinted slightly darker) finished in a clear matt varnish for durability.

HSL - Before & after

This hall needed a lot of attention, loads of surface defects from original paintwork failing and some questionable plastering finishes.

Switched the wall finish from silk to durable matt. All woodwork (butterscotch gloss) finished in a brilliant white satin.

•Dustless sanding setup used - walls and woodwork throughly sanded, filled, spot primed and sanded again for a smooth finish. Crown clean extreme matt in ‘Linen Blend’ to walls.

•Ceilings - taken from silk to a white ultra matt finish.

•Woodwork - all woodwork sanded, filled, primed with Zinsser BIN and finished with 2x coats of Johnstones Aqua satin.

*Doors not included as being replaced
