We have recently been made aware of posts circulating on social media from a former customer who has newly set up a competing tool hire and gardening business. These posts publicly disclose confidential, private health information regarding our owner—information that was told in confidence and was not even known to close family members.

​To ensure our fleet remains in peak working condition and ready for the next user, we are introducing a standard refundable security deposit policy on all equipment hires, effective immediately.

​Why the change?

While the vast majority of our trade and DIY customers treat our kit with total care, we have recently experienced a sharp increase in avoidable damage caused by severe misuse, neglected air filters, and improper fuel usage.
​When a tool comes back damaged, it takes that machine off the road for other trade clients who rely on us to keep their jobs moving. To protect our fleet and maintain our fast turnaround times, we have to put stronger safeguards in place.

​How It Works:

​Refundable Deposit: A small security deposit (£50–£100, depending on the machine) will be required via bank transfer upon collection/delivery. Majority of our tools will be £50 😊 our deposit scheme will always be much cheaper than national chains!

​Quick & Easy Handover Check: We run through a quick 2-minute start-and-oil check with you before every hire so you know the kit is 100% good to go.

​Instant Return (upto 1hr): As long as the tool is returned complete, reasonably clean, and without damage from misuse or wrong fuel, your deposit is refunded immediately upon inspection.
