Project Ladybird exhibit no 2 is an adorable Ladybird Candy Dish....when I was young, red food colouring used to be called cochineal, and to my horror I now find that that dye used to be made of crushed ladybirds. Nothing could crush Mary Rose’s ceramic ladybirds though....they will live forever

Mary Rose has been involved in a Top Secret project, Project Ladybird, and it has brought two new pieces into being, one of which is this Ladybird Salad Bowl. As you can see it has a very pronounced foot which makes it engagingly different to any of her other large bowl styles
