This might not be news to you, but to those of you that are just starting out on your crochet journey you might find this interesting.

These yarns are three different brands, and categorised as two different weights.... Think you could figure out which is which?

The cream (left) is a value brand from a shop that doesn't actually sell everything for £1. It's a DK weight and is the thinnest feeling yarn of the three

The grey (middle) is a value brand from a supermarket chain beginning with ALD_. It's an Aran (worsted) weight and looks the thickest but feels only slightly thicker than the cream one

The magenta (right) is a value brand (not their own, but exclusive to them) from a major crafting chain beginning with Hobbycr___. It's a DK weight and is actually the thickest feeling out of the three.

Now there's nothing wrong with any of them but they are definitely not made to be equal. I paid more (over double) for the yarn on the right, but the quality made it worth it!
