It's not every day your local MP writes to say thank you.

Tim Roca, MP for Macclesfield, sent us this lovely note after our recent event, and honestly, that's the whole idea. An old stable in Macclesfield, walls full of work by local and National artists and a warm welcome to anyone, whether they've bought art before or not.

There's a lot of talent just within twenty miles of this building, and the North West doesn't always get the credit it's due. We're going to help fix that.

Thanks, . See you at the next one.

Two national award finalist nominations… we’re absolutely delighted! 🏆🏆

We’re incredibly proud to share that Martha Rose Interiors has been named a finalist in two prestigious national awards.

🏆 Best New Business at the UK Small Business Awards 2026

🏆 Retail Shop of the Year at the National Flooring Awards

When we opened our showroom, our vision was simple, to create a destination where people could discover exceptional flooring, inspiring art and beautiful interiors, all backed by expert advice and personal service.

To now be recognised nationally in not one, but two award programmes is something we’re incredibly proud of.

A huge thank you to our amazing team, whose passion and dedication make Martha Rose Interiors what it is every single day. Thank you to our talented fitters, our incredible artists, our trusted suppliers, our wonderful customers, our family and friends, and everyone who has supported us along the way. We simply couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re honoured to be representing Macclesfield on the national stage and can’t wait for the finals.

Here’s to the next chapter! ❤️

A Building With A Story… ❤️

Long before Martha Rose Interiors welcomed customers through these doors, this beautiful building had already been part of Macclesfield’s story for almost two centuries.

The plaque on the wall tells us that The Old Stables was erected in 1837, lovingly restored in 1994, and officially reopened by Nicholas Winterton MP.

We’ve also been lucky enough to uncover an old photograph showing the building during its working days, complete with a horse and cart waiting outside. It’s amazing to imagine the people, horses, businesses and stories these walls have witnessed over the last 188 years.

When we renovated the showroom, preserving the character of this incredible building was just as important as creating a beautiful space inside.

We’re incredibly proud to be writing the next chapter in the history of The Old Stables through Martha Rose Interiors and Art in the Stables Gallery.

If you’ve got any memories, photographs or stories about The Old Stables, we’d absolutely love to hear them. Please share them in the comments. ❤️

Can a staircase become the best feature in your home?

There’s something special about a 100% wool herringbone carpet.

Soft underfoot, naturally hard wearing and full of texture, this stunning installation has completely transformed this staircase and landing. The elegant herringbone design, paired with expertly finished stairs, creates a look that’s both classic and contemporary.

If you’re looking for a staircase that makes an impression every time you come home, we’d love to help.

Really… LVT on a staircase? 🤔

Yes, and we think it looks incredible.

Most people think Luxury Vinyl Tile is just for floors, but when it’s installed on a staircase like this, it creates one seamless, modern look throughout the home.

✔ Durable
✔ Easy to maintain
✔ A real talking point

If you’re looking for something a little different, we’d love to show you what’s possible.

📍 Visit us at Martha Rose Interiors, Macclesfield.

Beautiful Floors. Beautiful Homes.
