Lovely to work with our new neighbours, The Home and Hotel Company , who opened the doors to their beautiful new Malton store on Saturday!

We fitted this full-width stair runner using a traditional wool Berber, finished with a smart striped tape that ties in perfectly with the deep blue woodwork. The finishing touches were completed by Sanders Bespoke Flooring — and we love how it’s all come together.

Wishing The Home & Hotel Company every success with their new venture in Malton — and we’re especially appreciating the rather handy sign they’ve put up on the wall pointing people our way too 👏

The old sisal in this home was looking a little tired and ready for a refresh… and what a difference! Swipe for the before ➡

Replaced with Harmony Herringbone by Crucial Trading, keeping that lovely natural sisal-inspired look but giving the staircase a much brighter, more stylish finish.

Do you like the sisal look? We’ve got loads of different colours, textures and patterns to choose from in the showrooms — from simple naturals to something with a bit more character.

We don’t have favourites… but if we had to pick 👀

This whole upstairs has recently been fitted in Harvey Maria Coppice Plank.

It’s rustic, warm and completely timeless — loads of character without feeling too busy. We genuinely haven’t seen a room yet that this floor doesn’t look good in.

Small showroom. Mighty carpet selection. 💪

We’ve had a few customers lately tell us they didn’t realise quite how much choice we actually have… so we thought it was probably time we shouted about it a little more!

Between all the stands in our Malton showroom, we have over 300 different carpet ranges to choose from - from affordable everyday carpets right through to wool, natural textures, and something a little more luxurious.

And that’s ranges, not colours… so the actual choice is enormous!

So if you’ve been past and thought “it’s only a little shop…” - don’t let the size fool you. Pop in, have a wander - there’s a lot more in here than you might think!

The deep, earthy tones throughout the house are finished off beautifully with Abingdon Rustique Twist carpet on the stairs and Brampton Chase Weathered Oak LVT through the landing and bathroom.

Now this is how you make a staircase the main event. 😍

The herringbone flatweave looks gorgeous against all the colour in this hallway, and that deep red edging just finishes it off perfectly. Bold enough to make a statement, but still really smart and timeless.

Fitted using Westex Wharfe Flatweave in Knotford Lagoon, finished with Robusta Jam taping to the edges.

A stair runner is such a good way to bring a bit of personality into a hallway without overpowering the whole space - and we think this one absolutely nails it. 👌
