Malvern man arrested in connection with a number of shoplifting offences

A 37 year old man was arrested inside a flat on Pickersleigh Road in Malvern this afternoon for a number of thefts locally.
The most recent theft took place at Sainsburys shortly before the arrest.
The man was hiding inside the address but refused to come to the door, so officers from Malvern's safer neighbourhood team forced entry and found the man inside the flat.
He is currently in police custody whilst officers carry out their investigation

🌺 Pin a Poppy on Tommy 🌺

Our Unknown Soldier "Tommy" is now standing proudly outside Malvern Police Station, and we'd love for the community to get involved. ❤️🇬🇧

Members of the public are invited to create their own poppy and attach it to Tommy as we come together to remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country. 🌺🕊️

The photos show just some of the wonderful poppies already created by local young people, including Edith (aged 3), Maisie (aged 9), Felicity (aged 10) and Heidi (aged 13). ❤️👏 Their fantastic creations will be added to Tommy as soon as the current storms have passed and it is safe to do so. 🌧️💨➡️🌺

Whether it's a handmade poppy, a painted poppy, a knitted poppy or one created by a school, community group or family, every poppy helps tell a story of remembrance. 🎨✂️🧶🌺

We'd love to see Tommy covered in poppies from across the Malvern area, creating a powerful visual tribute ahead of Remembrance Day. 🌺🌺🌺

If you're passing the station, please take a moment to add your poppy and be part of this special display. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🚶🚔

Together, let's make Tommy a meaningful tribute to those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today. ❤️🇬🇧🕊️

Lest We Forget. 🌺

PCSO Kev Tudge joins Upton Safer Neighbourhood Team.

The Upton police team is set to receive a boost this week as highly experienced Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Kev Tudge officially joins the team this Wednesday.

PCSO Tudge brings an impressive 20 years of dedicated experience in local policing to the area.

He has built a proven track record of successfully identifying and locating wanted individuals, with a particular expertise in tackling and tracking down those involved in shop theft.

Residents and businesses can expect his visible police presence moving forward, as PCSO Tudge will be conducting regular foot and cycle patrols throughout the town.

His placement focuses intensely on Upton town itself, providing targeted support from this Wednesday through to Christmas, with the option to extend his stay longer if required.

"Whilst I have enjoyed working in Malvern, I am looking forward to working with the Upton team and helping the community, including Upton retailers," said PCSO Tudge.

His experience in helping to combat retail crime and his commitment to accessible, face-to-face community policing will look to offer reassurance to shopkeepers and residents alike.

🚔🚓 OPU Drug Driver Arrest 🚓🚔

This morning, officers from the Hereford Operational Policing Unit (OPU) were informed that a vehicle which had made off from officers during the previous shift in Malvern had activated an ANPR camera in the local area. 👀📸

Acting on this information, officers quickly located the vehicle and caught up with it in Leigh Sinton. The driver, a man in his 20s, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of an offence under Section 5A of the Road Traffic Act after providing a positive roadside drugs test for cannabis and nitrous oxide. 🚔🚨

A search of the vehicle also resulted in cannabis and nitrous oxide being seized. 🌿🚫🎈

This is just one example of the many vehicle stops, arrests and proactive patrols carried out by our Roads Policing and Operational Policing Units every day. ✅👮‍♂️🚓

Our officers work around the clock ⏰ to identify drivers who pose a risk to other road users and take positive action to keep our communities and roads safe. 🛣️🚗🚙

Drug driving can have devastating consequences. If you choose to get behind the wheel while impaired, expect to be stopped, investigated and dealt with robustly. ❌🚘➡️🚔
