A charming Victorian cabinet plate by Wedgwood, featuring a beautifully hand-painted winter landscape with a horse-drawn cart beside a tranquil waterside scene. The delicate light pink border is adorned with intricate gilt decoration, creating an elegant contrast with the softly painted winter landscape.

Condition: Very good antique condition, with only minor signs of wear and minimal surface scratches. Free from crazing, damage or restoration.

Available for sale —— Copeland Porcelain Coffee Cup & Saucer | Paris Decoration, c.1851-85

A beautifully refined Copeland porcelain coffee cup and saucer, dating to circa 1851-85, exquisitely decorated in Paris.

The set features an elegant platinum-coloured ground, richly enhanced with acid-etched floral branches, blossoms and insects in gilt and brown, creating a sophisticated metallic, almost silvered effect.

The decoration is particularly striking for its intricate combination of acid-etched work and gilding, with similarly decorated geometric bands framing both the upper and lower sections of the cup and the broad border of the saucer. The interior of the cup is fully gilded, as is the underside of the cup, adding to the luxurious appearance.

A printed green Copeland mark is present to the base of the cup, now completely concealed beneath the gilding, but discernible when viewed under light. The underside of the saucer bears a handwritten inscription indicating that the decoration was executed in Paris, providing an interesting clue to the history of this unusual piece.

Condition:
Very good antique condition, with only very minor signs of age, including minimal light surface scratches. Free from crazing, chips, cracks, damage or restoration.

✨ Available for Sale | Royal Crown Derby Aesthetic Movement Dessert Set, c.1880 ✨

A beautiful set of four Royal Crown Derby Aesthetic Movement dessert pieces, dating to around 1880, comprising two low comports and two dessert plates.

The pieces feature an intricate combination of transfer-printed decoration in soft purple tones, richly enhanced with hand-applied gilding. Particularly charming are the raised, gilded wild plants and insects, which stand proud from the surface and add a wonderful quality to the decoration. These delicate botanical and insect motifs are beautifully arranged within the reserves, surrounded by intricate scrolling and floral patterns.

The combination of purple, white and raised gilt decoration creates a highly distinctive and sophisticated Aesthetic Movement appearance.

Condition:
Very good antique condition, with minor signs of age-related wear and minimal light surface scratches. Free from crazing, damage or restoration.

A beautifully decorative Edwardian silver shaped oval dressing table tray, hallmarked Birmingham 1904, by W.J. Myatt & Co.

The tray is richly embossed with a charming suburban garden scene, depicting a young lady accompanied by two young men enjoying a swing, beautifully framed by scrolling floral stems and foliage. The raised decoration continues around the border, with elegant scrollwork and floral motifs creating a wonderfully intricate, three-dimensional effect.

Particularly striking are the raised blossom sprays sweeping around the central scene, giving the piece an almost jewel-like quality. The polished silver ground provides a beautiful contrast to the detailed embossed decoration, while the generous oval form makes it equally appealing as a decorative display piece, an impressive cake or serving tray, or an elegant dressing-table accessory.

A wonderful example of Edwardian decorative silver, combining an engaging figural scene with beautifully executed floral and foliate ornament.

Condition:

Avsilable for sale —— Mid-20th Century Dresden Porcelain Hand-Painted Floral and Gilt Covered Serving Bowl / Tureen.

A charming and highly decorative Dresden porcelain covered serving bowl, dating to the mid-20th century, beautifully hand-painted with delicate bouquets of colourful flowers and enriched with extensive gilded decoration.

The piece bears the distinctive blue “SP Dresden” mark to the underside, associated with the Sächsische Porzellan-Manufaktur Dresden (Saxon Porcelain Manufactory Dresden), founded in 1872 at Potschappel near Dresden. The SP Dresden trademark was officially registered in the early 20th century.

The form is particularly attractive and artistic, with a beautifully moulded, softly ribbed body, elaborate scrolled handles and an unusual sculptural finial to the cover. The moulded relief decoration is highlighted with hand-applied gilding, while the porcelain is further decorated with charming hand-painted floral bouquets in pink, blue, yellow, orange and green.

The combination of the sculptural form, delicate floral painting and generous gilding gives the piece a wonderfully elegant Dresden Rococo-inspired appearance.

The covered bowl is both decorative and functional and could be used for serving warm dishes, sweets, fruit, or other small delicacies. It would also make an attractive decorative or display piece for a porcelain collection.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition, with remarkably little evidence of age. Very minor wear to gilding.
There is a manufacturing-related imperfection:
a minor uneven surface to one area of the inner supporting ring beneath the cover, caused during the manufacturing process rather than later damage.
No obvious chips, cracks or restoration have been noted.

A beautifully crafted Edwardian sterling silver pierced basket, hallmarked Chester, 1909, by H. M. (Henry Matthews).

This exquisite miniature basket features a finely pierced body adorned with charming raised ribbon bows and floral swags, all elevated on a decorative pedestal foot.

The highlight is its graceful scrolling leaf swing handle, inspired by flowing Art Nouveau forms, which beautifully complements the delicate openwork design. Originally intended for serving bonbons, sweetmeats or sugar cubes, it also makes a delightful flower basket for displaying a small posy of fresh blooms.

Elegant, decorative and highly versatile, this charming antique would make a wonderful addition to any silver collection or refined table setting.

✨ Available for Sale — Two Stunning Royal Worcester Hand-Painted Cabinet Plates, c.1860–1875 ✨

A beautiful pair of Victorian Royal Worcester cabinet plates, each exquisitely hand-painted with delicate studies of wildflowers, butterflies, dragonflies, and other insects, capturing the elegance and naturalism for which Worcester became renowned during the mid-19th century.

The richly decorated borders feature soft blush-pink panels framed by intricate turquoise scrollwork, moulded ornament, and finely hand-applied gilt foliage, creating a striking contrast with the finely painted botanical centres.

🦋 Plate One
Decorated with butterflies and a dragonfly among wild plants. Bears the impressed Worcester Royal Porcelain Works mark within an oval surmounted by a crown, dating c.1862–1875.

🦋 Plate Two
Decorated with butterflies amongst flowering grasses. Bears the printed Royal Worcester Porcelain mark, c.1860, produced for the prestigious retailer Henry Greene.

Condition:
Excellent antique condition with only light age-related wear, including minor rubbing to the gilding and a few faint surface scratches. Free from crazing, chips, cracks, hairlines, or restoration.

Please note that the turquoise decoration on the dragonfly plate appears slightly softer in tone than the other plate, a result of natural mineral variations in the enamel used during manufacture.
