It's been a busy few weeks at DG HQ, with another visitor from Grafters Super Groups Manchester & Bolton calling into the showroom. This time, it was great to welcome Kingsley Williams from Love Mortgage Brokers.

After a walk around the showroom and a chat about the products and services we provide, the conversation soon turned to Kingsley's career journey, what inspired him to set up his own business, and the types of referral partners he enjoys working with.

One of the things I enjoy most about these visits is hearing the different paths people have taken to where they are today. Every business owner has a story, and its always interesting to learn more about the person behind the business. Thank you for taking the time to visit, Kingsley. It was great to continue the conversation outside of the usual networking environment, and I look forward to catching up again soon.

Unfortunately, we didn't get chance for a game of table football on this occasion, which means you'll have to make another visit in the future! As a keen footballer, I'm sure Kingsley has plenty of skills to bring to the table... the question is whether they transfer from the grass pitch to the table football pitch! ⚽😄

One of the things I've enjoyed most since joining Grafters Super Groups Manchester & Bolton has been getting to know the people behind the businesses.

Last week, I had the pleasure of welcoming Ross Macleod from Macleod Accounting to the Droylsden Glass showroom. It was great to show Ross around, explain a little more about what we do, and share some of the exciting plans we have for the future.

Just as importantly, it gave us the opportunity to learn more about each others businesses, discuss the challenges and opportunities we all face, and explore ways in which we might be able to support one another moving forward. Networking is often judged by referrals and opportunities, but for me its equally about building relationships, understanding what makes other businesses successful and connecting with good people.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, Ross. It was great to continue the conversation outside of the usual networking environment, and I look forward to catching up again soon.

Unfortunately, unlike some of our recent visitors, Ross managed to leave before being challenged to a game of table football ⚽. I'm not sure whether that was good planning or a missed opportunity! 😄

One thing we've learned over the years is that great ideas are worth their weight in gold.

We'd like to thank Rosemary Plum and the team at 9Ways Digital Media for the brilliant creative work they produce for our LED signboard.

Rosemary consistently comes up with fresh ideas that help us stand out and keep our messaging relevant and engaging. Our latest World Cup-themed creative, including a message wishing the England team good luck, is another excellent example. 👏⚽🏆

The signboard has become a real asset for our business. Thousands of people pass it each week, and having eye-catching, professionally designed content ensures we're making the most of that opportunity.

It's easy to underestimate the work that goes into creating effective marketing, but the impact is clear to see. We're incredibly grateful for Rosemary's creativity, support and dedication over the years.

Hitting over 1 million YouTube views is a milestone I never imagined when we first started investing in video content.

We'd like to thank Stewart Macfarlane and the team at Soup Creative Ltd for the fantastic support they've given Droylsden Glass over the last few years. Their creativity, patience and ability to bring ideas to life have played a huge part in helping us reach such a wide audience.
