Rather chuffed that we was contacted by magazine to be featured in their 'Designer Spotlight', which profiles the best small independent brands in the UK, and for this issue they focused on lighting.

My partner of 11 years Craig even got in on the action this time which he normally shys away from.
He is all about the technical, logistical and technology side of Nove - I couldn’t do it without him!

I wanted to share these photos of our wall lights looking just as great years later. Simon and Kelly was our first official customers and after moving home they kept their marbled cork with brass wall lights and they’re still looking beautiful. 🙌

One of our main focuses here at Nove is for timeless design, something that wont fall out of style and will last for years to come. We aren’t wanting to follow in a fast trend-led direction to be just churning out.
Instead we want to focus on the quality of the materials, thoughtfulness of the design and production. Even after all these years we feel proud of each one of our lights we send out and that’s always going to be the aim.

We really do love it when our customers send photos of our cork lights hanging beautifully within their homes. It makes us feel very proud especially as there is so much effort to make each hand crafted light perfect, made with care, attention and precision.

This is actually a beautiful holiday home named The Curious Oyster.
It is located in the stunning county of Suffolk, nestled in a charming chocolate box village called Orford.

We stayed at the start of October last year before the restrictions and it was an amazing holiday. With visits to all the surrounding beaches, enjoying coastal walks, eating too many fish and chip dinners and the looking up at the clear start night sky. It sounds idealistic and I have to say it really was.

This holiday home is one of two properties owned by the lovely Jodie . Their Scandi hygge style interiors were designed by the equally lovely and talented Kay who’s sustainable vision is truly inspiring.

I am very much looking forward to staying again!

Happy Sunday everyone!

It’s feeling more and more like spring, bringing with it lighter mornings, birds chattering and a sense of awakening and renewal.
Although I’m still, lay in bed writing this wrapped in my covers as it’s still not warm enough quite yet to find my feet.

I know I’m a little bit biased but how beautiful does our marbled cork and brass light look, transforming this workspace.

This was a lovely surprise late last year when Nove’s burnt cork and brass table light was featured in the Financial Times - How To Spend It supplement.

A wonderfully curated eco friendly gift guide,
and Nove was sitting alongside some amazing company.

People may not know I’ve been a full time interior/outdoor Stylist for nearly 7 years and that’s how I started NOVE, about 2 years ago, from my many stylist trips to Portugal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In my job I’m surrounded by all things interiors, so when I saw the array of beautiful cork finishes I knew they were unique, and that no one had really seen them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then I learned all about the amazing cork journey which got me completely hooked! It amazed and inspired me how cork was such a sustainable material and heavily based on the people’s skill, craft and years of knowledge passed down from generations.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve been working full time through the start up and growth of NOVE but the business has grown so much it now warrants more attention, so I’m leaving my full time job at the end of August as well as becoming a freelance interior stylist. 😬 A scary but exciting time!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
