Hi Urmston 👋

Wow… what a weekend we’ve had! 🍻🎉

Friday night saw us hosting a 70th birthday party for one of our lovely regulars. We put on a fantastic buffet spread, although I think they’ll be eating leftovers for the next week with how much food there was! 😄 It was a brilliant evening and a pleasure to celebrate such a special occasion with them.

On Saturday, we took Why Not Bar on the road to the Food & Drink Festival hosted by Love Urmston, Powered By Urmston Partnership What an amazing day! The location was fantastic, the atmosphere was buzzing, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces while meeting lots of new people too.

We served up plenty of sangria, beers, wines and ciders throughout the day, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came down to support us. It really was a fantastic event, and a big well done to everyone involved in organising it we hope you enjoyed the sangria 👏

Saturday evening, we were straight back into party mode, hosting a fabulous 40th birthday celebration. Another great night with everyone having a fantastic time.

📢 A quick update for this week:

Unfortunately, we’ve had to reschedule the Menopause Café on Thursday. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. A new date and time will be confirmed soon, and we’ll let you know as soon as everything is arranged.

🎲 Monday – Board Game Night
Join us from 7pm - 10pm
A fantastic group of people, plenty of games, and everyone is welcome. Whether you come on your own or with friends, you’ll be made to feel right at home.

🎸 Sunday – Pink Floyd & Dire Straits Tribute
Starting at 4:30pm.
We’re once again using the bar area as the stage, which has been getting some great feedback. It’s set to be a brilliant afternoon of live music, so come along and enjoy it with us.

Our private bar area can accommodate up to 50 guests, with access to our beer garden too. We offer a range of catering options and can help make your event one to remember.

🎉 Well… today marks 2 years of YNOT! 🎉

Honestly, where has that time gone?!

It’s been amazing watching YNOT grow and evolve over the last couple of years seeing as though I only leased the bar to have a big beer garden for The Copper Hatch.. I’ve tried different ideas along the way — including food ventures that maybe didn’t quite work out 😂 — but that’s all part of the journey, and I’ve learned so much along the way.

What YNOT has become is the perfect place for parties, celebrations, gatherings, and those brilliant summer days when the doors are fully open and the atmosphere just feels amazing. Sometimes, sat there with a drink and the sunshine pouring in, it genuinely feels like you could be anywhere in the world… although a beach and sea view out front would’ve been nice too! 🍹☀️🌴

Most importantly, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me over these last two years.

Here’s to more laughs, more memories, more music, more celebrations, and many more summers together at YNOT ❤️

I’m hosting the next Menopause Cafe on 30th April - come along ❤️

The next Menopause Cafe 30th April YNot bar- 7-9

This month we are joined by Alison, a nurse with over 40 years clinical experience. Alison is now a counsellor and psychotherapist and is attending the menopause cafe to talk about managing anxiety, depression and low mood during peri/ menopause.

It’s free to attend, you don’t need to sign up in advance and we are a friendly bunch. Come along and just listen, or share your experiences and know that you are not alone during what can be a really difficult time in a woman’s life.
