After 11 years of having a retail shop in Bramhall, we have now retired and our stock is sold on Etsy. We stock a wide range of quality quilting weight fabric from the major fabric houses. Specialising in licensed fabrics, gothic and horror, animals and wildlife and nature, florals from Tilda and Laura Ashley, plains for lining and so much more. Bats Fabric

We have a number of fabrics featuring Bats. When I first knew Phil, he was a volunteered for a local bat group and would get asked to collect bats that had been found. He would bring them home and try and assess any injuries and try and release when fit enough. When he assessed their flying abilities, I have no idea why they would fly straight to me wherever I happened to be in the room.

Whenever we used to go away, or even just in the garden, he has a bat detector that you can hear their calls. We have some bats that are in the woods at home, which you can see early evenings flying around at not much higher than the roof.

So Bat fabrics are not just designs that are for Halloween only in the Baldwin house.

Halloween Fabrics

Or as a gothic punk of old, Halloween isn't just the end of October, its all year round.😂😂

We have always had a good selection of fabrics some may say are Halloween fabrics, but these are what we have left. Some of them don't have a lot left so buy now before they are sold out - we will not be restocking.

You could make anything from outfits to home decor with the fabrics. For those who are having a Halloween Party you could make all your decorations - and being fabric, they'll last year after year - thus very sustainable.

Until the end of September I have discounted our Seasonal Fabrics - which is our Halloween/Gothic range as well as our Christmas fabrics by 20%.

Wonderclips and quilting/patchwork templates

If you've watched Sewing Bee you may have seen the plastic wonderclips that are used by some instead of pins. They are able to clip more pieces of fabric together, which is why they are used by quilters and patchworkers. However once you've got some, you'll find lots of other uses for them, especially as little pegs or standard bull clips.

They are an investment to your sewing stock, but once bought they last forever.

The plastic shapes make preparing your fabrics for patchwork so much easier, especially if you use the rotary cutters and cutting it on cutting mats (ask me about these as I've not listed them yet).

Knitting and Crochet Accessories now listed on Etsy

I often got asked what a knitter/crochet would need from somebody who was looking to buy items for a new knitter. I would show them our range of accessories as they will at some point need to use these if they are following a pattern.

These items are now listed on Etsy:

Assorted Cable Needles
Row Counters to put on knitting needles
Stitch Holders to hold your work whilst you are knitting the rest of your work - often the backs and fronts of jumpers/cardigans etc.

These are now all our Knitting Accessories we had in stock before we closed in Bramhall (unless I find an odd box of something).

What is listed is the stock we had - I will not be restocking.

If anyone is local and wants to collect/arrange a drop off, do let me know.
