The bookcases have been painted... I prepped and painted and am delighted to have now finished! Veering over to the dark side again, I was craving an intensity that trad white can't offer... Many samples later, what a difference... Noble grey is a dark anthracite soft nearly black. I met some resistance along the way but I knew it would work! ✔️🌷

This divine, sumptuous, velvet sofa is just what is needed after such a miserable, wet day! I have been indulging in the new collection... Untamed... 'Raw, radical and unapologetically untamed, our new animal print collection celebrates the wild side of interiors' Edgy, cool, luxury inspired by nature, sustainable and made in Suffolk. I hope to visit the mill soon to see some of these fabulous fabrics being made

A lovely hour spent earlier this week.... Delighted to visit a newbuild house nearby and talk inspo. The objective was to generate some realistic ideas regarding furnishings and colour and start a wish list which the owner could work with to add interest and characteur. They will be sourcing to a budget and repurposing and shopping second hand where possible. I can't wait to see the results! In line with the style of the house and existing decor, we were talking along these lines although I have since thrown an orange chair into the inspo mix!

May I get in early and wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year... Cheers all! I wish everyone good health, good fortune and fortitude for the year ahead whatever it may bring... It's no secret that being creative, however experienced we are, is pretty hard right now coupled with the everyday which is frankly a rollercoaster ride for all! Whilst the interiors work continues as and when, it is currently sporadic so I have diversified and quietly returned to the public sector during the latter part of this year. I have found a valuable and satisfying channel for my energy and skills. This direction along with any new creative work makes for an interesting start to 2026. Good luck and love to all ❤️🥂X ❤️

Whatever the weather, the estuary view from here is pretty special even when the tide is way out... This morning fresh, breezy, clear as day and the bright sunshine streaming in. The bespoke window seat and made to measure cushion really is the perfect place to sit and while away the time. Now complete this wonderful apartment is available through Airbnb. This very view could be yours!

Monday morning colour splash! These bring joy with their vibrant orangeness! The burnt red and orange tones met the colour brief completely and placing just the glass vase in the horseshoe made a simple but perfect centrepiece for the dining tables in the Red room last Thursday. Really pleased with how they worked out. We had a very successful evening last Thursday for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust

Fabrics galore here this morning! A rail of wonderful colours and patterns and a sunshine yellow coloursplash from Linwood on one of my presentation boards! I have accounts with some great suppliers and am always delighted to discuss fabrics and furnishings. Very happy to supply fabric only too. Happy Tuesday all 💖

A beautiful garden spotted on the coast last week in North Norfolk. The old flint wall, weathered railings, sea holly, marsh grasses and a explosive bank of glorious hydrangeas in front of the house... perfection!

A subtle toile print linen shade ready to go... Shown here with a favourite fabric from Clarke & Clarke. I love the natural slubs you find in linen. The neutral shades work together within a light and bright scheme or beautifully as a contrast with stronger colours as shown here.
