Forgot we’d worked on this one… and then spotted it again and went “ohhh YES, that’s lovely.” 😌

This beautiful little mid-century Danish-style two-seater came to Clueit Webb Interiors for a full refresh, and honestly it’s aged like fine wine. Clean lines, gentle curves, proper sit-ability — a total classic.

Reupholstered in this soft mossy green weave, it now sits perfectly in this calm, light-filled corner — basically a Sunday afternoon in sofa form.

AND… eagle-eyed among you may have noticed something...
That’s because we also made a bespoke fitted seat throw in matching fabric — perfect for protecting the upholstery from little pups, paws and everyday life, without spoiling the look. Practical and pretty = our favourite combo.

Proof that great design + thoughtful upholstery can quietly transform a whole room.

We loved working on these chairs.

That’s a lie.

They were an absolute nightmare. 😅

All those curves, panels and angles mean everything has to line up perfectly — foam, seams, tension, fabric direction — the lot. No hiding places, no shortcuts, no mercy. Upholstery on hard mode.

BUT… look at them now.

Absolutely glorious mid-century statement chairs, reborn in bold, juicy velvet colour. One zingy citrus green, one punchy chartreuse — proper mood-lifting furniture that completely transforms a space. Proof that colour + shape = magic.

We definitely love them now. 💚

We LOVE a little love seat… and this one is absolutely beaming 💛

There’s something about a compact armchair that just works — generous enough to curl up in, small enough to tuck into a corner, bedroom, snug or awkward alcove that never quite knew what it needed. (Answer: this.)

Reupholstered in this gloriously vibrant yellow velvet, this once-tired chair has gone from background filler to full-on mood-lifting statement piece. Same lovely bones, completely new energy.

This elegant antique chaise longue has been fully restored by Clueit Webb Interiors and reupholstered in a rich, deep blue velvet that just begs you to collapse onto it dramatically with a book, a negroni, or at the very least someone feeding you grapes.

Urgh. Mondays.
You know that feeling when you roll into the workshop looking (and feeling) a bit… tired? Well, this little two-seater knew exactly the vibe.

Once a lovely bergère with a caned back, it had well and truly seen better days — saggy, dated, and frankly a bit fed up with life. But don’t worry… swipe to see what a proper Clueit Webb Interiors glow-up looks like ✨

Completely stripped back to the frame, rebuilt from the inside out with new webbing, fillings and structure, then dressed (lavishly) in layers of glorious velvet and unapologetic colour. Because if you’re going to revive something, you may as well make it sing.

We do love a classic William Morris print 💙

This beautiful pair of bergère chairs have been brought back to life in the iconic Snakeshead design from — a pattern that never, ever dates. Rich, detailed, unmistakably Arts & Crafts.

To really make the chairs stand out, we picked out a complementary mustard velvet for the piping (because details matter ✨) and added supportive scatter cushions so they’re as comfortable as they are handsome.

A proper meeting of craftsmanship old and new — historic frames, heritage fabric, and fresh upholstery work from Clueit Webb Interiors.

We do love a sexy curve… 😏

They might look effortless, but beautifully curved chairs like this are some of the hardest pieces to upholster properly. Every line has to flow, every seam has to sit just right — there’s nowhere to hide on a shape like this.

This sweet little Victorian chair had a full Clueit Webb Interiors makeover for (who, it must be said, has an excellent eye for a chair). Just look at those gorgeous barley-twist supports and dainty castors — proper craftsmanship.

Stripes.
We love them… and they absolutely terrify us.

Us upholsterers have a real love–hate relationship with stripes (and don’t even get us started on checks 😅). When you’re working with strong verticals and horizontals there is nowhere to hide — every line has to be bang on, every seam perfect, every curve behaving itself. It’s stressful, it’s fiddly, and yes… it’s worth every second when it turns out like this.

This gorgeous vintage kidney sofa was previously wrapped in a rather drab yellow wool and had lost all its sparkle. Fast forward to now and it’s been completely transformed in this stunning striped fabric from — and suddenly it’s a whole new person. Same elegant shape, totally fresh attitude.

Bold stripes bring energy, movement and confidence to a room. They can exaggerate curves, highlight beautiful silhouettes and turn a quiet piece into a real statement — but only if they’re handled properly. Precision is everything, and we’re a bit obsessive about getting it right.

Sometimes it really is just a delicate touch ✨

Not every transformation needs a full strip-back and rebuild to completely change a space.

Take this SKÅLBODA armchair from IKEA for example. A brilliant piece of design in its own right — that sculptural black steel wire frame was originally designed by Niels Gammelgaard in 1983 and recently reissued as part of IKEA’s Nytillverkad collection. Timeless, graphic, and properly well made.

All we did here was introduce a bold, beautifully made, bespoke cushion, and suddenly the whole chair shifts gear.
More comfort.
More colour.
More personality.

That hit of blue softens the industrial lines, adds warmth, and turns a great design into something that really works in a room — proof that cushions, fabrics and soft furnishings can be just as powerful as big furniture changes.

At Clueit Webb Interiors, we don’t believe everything has to be maximal (unless you want it to be). Sometimes a cushion, a fabric swap or a small tweak is all it takes to lift a space.

Swipe ➡️ for a proper before & after magic 🪄

This is a classic mid-century design icon — the low-back G-Plan 6250 swivel chair. You might not clock it straight away… but you may well have seen a certain James Bond baddie dramatically swivelling around in the high-back version on screen 👀🍸

When this one arrived at Clueit Webb Interiors, it still had great bones — but years of use had taken their toll. So we stripped it right back to the frame, rebuilt it with brand new foam and cushion inners, restored and refinished the swivel mechanism, and finished it in this stunning black vinyl from .

The result?
Same sharp modernist silhouette.
Better comfort than ever.
And ready for another few decades of service (evil lair optional).
