My client's living dining area was a fab space but was lacking in personality and felt rather cold and grey. We worked on bringing the spaces together with colour and pattern to sit alongside her gorgeous open plan kitchen.

Here is a snapshot of the new space with a little sneak of the before. Click the link to my website if you’d like to see more...

Interior design isn’t always about starting from scratch. A lovely new project currently in progress - a living room and a library.

My clients living room is a great space but the size actually left them not qyite knowing what to do - so we are working on creating zones within the space - incorporating existing pieces into the room.

Detailed design of this concept is underway so look forward to sharing more.

AI definitely a touch controversial! In my opinion its a great tool helping my clients visualise concepts and ideas. It's rarely spot on and the scale is never quite right but it definitely helps convey an idea.

I don't think AI will be replacing designers any time soon but it's without a doubt a brilliant tool!

The library space - again working with existing furniture, art and built in joinery, the scheme brings together all the elements to make a grown up space to retreat to.

Narrowboat Project No. 2 is underway.

The first photo is from the completed refresh of Boat No. 1, followed by the concept boards for Boat No. 2.

Boat 2 will have its own identity while still feeling in keeping with the first. The colour palette and overall feel are connected, but with a few subtle changes to make it unique.

I've loved taking inspiration from the completed project and evolving it into something new that's tailored to the space and the client.

I can't wait to share the finished transformation in a few weeks.

If you're thinking about refreshing your home, holiday let or another unique space, I'd love to help. Get in touch to see how we can bring your ideas to life.

Cushion deliveries at client projects

Lots of food has been eaten.... this from Weltons Deli was a 10

It's been a desk heavy month with lots of exciting projects on the go

Bespoke made seat cushions for a client that did my helping hand package earlier in the year. Love that they've embraced colour and now they're home feels like theirs.

Last week I visited a lovely client who I originally met in January and she opted for my Complete Room Blueprint with floorplan & shopping list

During our meeting we reviewed the space and it became apparent that actually the door from the hallway was rarely used..... so it made sense to block it up creating a much more useable space

Blocking up the unused door allowed us to add a corner sofa and make the most of the space in the room. The client also added a chimney breast and log burner.

As well as concept and floorplan I supplied a clickable shopping list of items making it easy to move the forward and create the scheme.

As well as The Complete Room Blueprint design package we made the curtains and cushions using fabrics from the Studio.

And next week I'll be heading back to hang the curtains.

My complete room blueprint means clients can take it at their own pace. Looking forward to see thus soace evolve as the furniture pieces arrive.

Monday Moodboard ✨

The brief for this project was to create an elegant, sophisticated meeting room within my client's showroom. A space where they could host client meetings and presentations that reflected the look and feel of their brand, whilst also being flexible enough to function as an office when needed.

Rich, timeless colour palettes, architectural detailing, beautifully layered materials and classic antique brass accents to create a space that's both welcoming and professional.

Here are two different takes on the same brief. Which scheme would you choose?

If your business space isn't reflecting your brand or working as hard as it should, I'd love to help.

Drop me a DM or email [email protected] to find out how Studio Dee can transform your commercial space.

I mentioned this on stories yesterday... a good warm neutral can be hard to find. But if your after a verstaile beige then I've got you. Well Grounded by This is The Paint. I've used it across several schemes and it works beatifully in both north and south facing spaces. In this project it made my client's previously white walled kitchen so much more inviting.

June - what an incredible month.

It's officially been my busiest month yet and honestly, I'm a little bit blown away. I absolutely love that no 2 days are ever the same.

Taking the leap and setting up Studio Dee full-time was terrifying. I'd done my research, I believed wholeheartedly that I could help people create homes they love, but the reality is you never know for certain if there's an appetite for what you have to offer until you properly put yourself out there.

Well... it turns out there definitely is.

June has seen Helping Hand packages booked, projects completing, two new full-home projects kicking off and lots of other exciting things bubbling away behind the scenes.

To everyone who has trusted me with their homes, recommended me to friends, shared a post, liked a reel or simply cheered me on from the sidelines - thank you. It genuinely means the world.

And if you're currently staring at a room that just isn't working, feeling overwhelmed by choices or putting off those decisions because you don't know where to start, drop me a line. Sometimes a little expert help is all it takes to see a spaces potential.

I'm now booking into September, so if you'd like your home feeling more "you" before Christmas rolls around, now is definitely time to get in touch.

Lighting, lighting, lighting is a biggie when it comes to design. Done well, it creates atmosphere, adds warmth and is a feature all of its own.

Sharing one of my faves today....the Folia collection from Lights & Lamps which I've used in a few projects and I really rate them! The gorgeous scalloped shape catches the eye without dominating the room, they give a soft diffused glow, and the bronze fittings add just the right amount of elegance.

Happy Tuesday x
