We had the pleasure of carrying out the painting and decorating works at the Royal Oak pub in Malton, helping to bring this beautiful 1700s building back to life.
As a Grade II listed property, it was important to preserve the character and history of the building while refreshing its appearance. All surfaces were thoroughly prepared prior to painting, with particular care taken to maintain the aged charm of the existing woodwork, avoiding an overly modern or newly restored look.
A range of traditional coatings were used throughout the project, including Sadolin Opaque Black Satin Wood, Sandtex Extreme Eggshell in White, and Black Gloss finishes. The result is a sympathetic restoration that enhances the building’s appearance while respecting its heritage and original features.
We’re proud to have played a part in preserving and revitalising such an iconic local property.
