At this time of year, the utility room becomes one of the hardest-working spaces in the home - muddy boots, wet coats and all.

A tiled backsplash is a practical yet beautiful choice, offering durability and easy maintenance while bringing colour, texture and visual interest to this often-overlooked space. Collections such as Bloomsbury, English Garden Delft and Wilding are perfect for introducing rich, autumnal colour and character.

Because even the most practical spaces deserve a little seasonal charm 🍂

NEW IN | Natural Terracotta

We're proud to introduce Natural Terracotta, our first collection of handmade floor tiles, created to bring 90 years of craftsmanship underfoot.

Six distinctive formats, three finishes and a palette of hand glazed cabochons offer endless possibilities for creating floors that feel warm, considered and entirely individual.

From the timeless simplicity of Square and Hexagon tiles to the decorative character of Octagons with Cabochons, Natural Terracotta brings a new dimension to the Marlborough collection - rooted in tradition, designed for contemporary living.

Last week, we had the very great honour of welcoming Her Majesty The Queen to Marlborough Tiles to celebrate our 90th anniversary.

Founded in 1936, our family-owned business has spent nine decades preserving the art of British tile making, bringing together traditional craftsmanship, creativity and a deep-rooted passion for design.

It was a privilege to share with Her Majesty the artistry and expertise behind our handmade tiles, and to recognise the generations of dedicated craftspeople whose knowledge and skill continue to shape our work today.

A landmark occasion in our history, celebrating nine decades of English tile making.

We extend our sincere thanks to Her Majesty The Queen () and Wiltshire Lieutenancy for making the visit so special.

A backdrop designed to be noticed.

Our Bloomsbury Grant’s Gold tiles were specially made in a bespoke 15x15cm format and hand aged to create a beautifully timeworn finish, before being laid in a classic diamond layout. The result brings warmth, depth and a sense of old-world character to this showstopping space at the brand-new .

Rich in colour and beautifully imperfect, each tile adds another layer to this wonderfully atmospheric interior.
