Unboxing our summer straw bags.

Handcrafted from natural wheat straw, each strand is individually braided by hand before being carefully stitched together to create the finished shape.

This collection includes both our tapered and round designs, available in large and small sizes and finished with genuine leather straps.

Which style is your favourite?

The round bag has my heart, but the tapered shape is just as beautiful. I love them both.

A busy Friday yesterday.

The container has been unloaded, and after months of waiting, they are finally here.

It has been one of the most challenging years for sourcing products from Burma, with delays and uncertainty at every stage. Seeing the container arrive and the warehouse full again feels like a huge milestone.

And yes, we didn’t forget to raise a glass and cheer reaching the finish line — it was Friday after all.

Now comes the exciting part: opening the boxes and revealing what’s inside.

I am proud to say that I created this two-tier rattan stand design a few years ago, and it has since become one of our most popular pieces.

Originally designed as a fruit stand, customers have found so many other uses for it too — from organising vegetables in the kitchen to storing toiletries and towels in a bathroom corner.

May Round-Up at URU ☀️🌿

May started off a little cold and wet, but eventually the sunshine arrived and made everything feel brighter.

One thing that is always changing at URU Home is our shop window display. Depending on the season, the weather, and new arrivals, I am constantly moving things around and creating new displays.

It is one of my favourite parts of having a physical shop. I love imagining how the window might catch someone’s eye and encourage them to step inside and discover our collections.

And yes, we are dog-friendly too! 🐾 Our four-legged visitors are always welcome, and little ones know they can pop over to the counter for a treat.

Thank you to everyone who visited us in May, whether in person in Marlow or online. Your support means so much to a small independent business like ours.
