Our Much-Loved La Jarre Is Back in Stock!

As a small business, we usually start with a small batch whenever we introduce a new design, just to see how our customers respond.

Our La Jarre laundry baskets sold out much faster than we expected, and I’m so delighted to have them back!

Each basket is beautifully handwoven with incredible skill, patience and precision. The craftsmanship of the wonderful artisans behind each piece really is something special.

Unboxing our new rattan lampshades!

I just couldn’t stop beaming when I saw how beautifully they turned out! The colours, the shapes, the natural texture — everything was just as I had hoped.

Handwoven from natural rattan, each piece is made with care and designed to last for years to come.

There’s something so special about creating a piece and imagining it bringing warmth and character to someone’s home.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little change of scenery!

I wasn’t quite sure what to do with this small corner of our shop. Not enough room for another display cabinet without making the space feel too crowded.

So I decided to get creative with our rattan baskets and turn them into little cube shelves.

And just like that, a customer walked in, spotted one of the baskets we’d used to create the shelves and realised it was exactly the size she’d been looking for. Off it went to its new home!

It’s funny how some pieces sit quietly waiting to be noticed. Move them to a different spot, and suddenly someone falls in love with them.

One thing I’ve learnt from running a little shop is that sometimes you don’t need something new. You just need to look at what you already have a little differently.

What a busy Friday!

Our container finally arrived, and today was all about unloading boxes and boxes of beautiful handmade pieces from Burma.

After months of weaving, packing and travelling across the sea, they’re finally here!

Lots of your favourites are coming back into stock, along with some lovely new arrivals.

Now comes the fun part — unpacking everything!

It looks like our boy has already claimed his favourite spot! 🐾 Apparently, he’s appointed himself the new face of our new colour, Grey Wash rattan bin collection! 🐶

Not just a pretty face, either! Our handwoven rattan bins come with removable liners, making them practical and easy to clean.

Who says a waste bin can’t be beautiful?

Another lovely, busy Saturday at URU Home, as always!

A few moments from around the shop today, along with a little behind-the-scenes rearranging.

One thing I’ve learned from running a shop is how much difference a little change can make. Sometimes a beautiful piece sits quietly on the shelf without much attention, but move it to a different spot and suddenly everyone notices it!

It’s fascinating how the same product can be seen so differently, simply by changing its surroundings.

Running a shop is a constant learning curve, and I’m still discovering something new every day.

Sometimes, all it takes is a change of perspective.

I wonder if life is a little like that too. Sometimes, we just need the courage to make a change.
