Well… this is not quite the post I imagined sharing this week.
Yesterday, shortly after arriving at to set up for the day, I was shouted at by Lady Manners over the Instagram stories I had shared the previous night (basically just standing up for myself) and was told to leave the market. There was no accountability taken by , and no attempt to apologise to me, address or resolve what happened. So here’s a series of photos from my time at the Mercatum (1 day) setting up, exploring, and me packing up (with some help from my amazing dad and wonderful friend ) and then heading home, still very much in the “what on earth just happened?” stage of processing. 😂
But honestly? This is absolutely the best thing for my mental health and general wellbeing. No more tiptoeing, no more tension - just a clean break and a deep exhale. Now I get to enjoy the whole of December being Christmassy as heck, which feels like the greatest plot twist of all. I might even finally finish the Christmas sewing advent I started there years ago. 🎄✨
If you’d like the full story, you can check out my “market drama” highlight - I’ll be updating it as needed.
Thank you for the unbelievable support you’ve all sent my way. Every message, every comment - it’s meant the world. Hearing how many other vendors have had similar experiences has been eye-opening, and strangely comforting in a “oh, it’s not just me!” sort of way.
A big warm hello to all the new followers - welcome to the chaos, the creativity, and the odd cat. 🐱 A huge thank you to the wonderful markets and organisers who have reached out inviting me to exhibit with them. You’re absolute gems. 💛
So, to wrap up: I won’t be at Haddon Market this weekend or next week, but I will have some brilliant deals on my kits and a few festive bits popping up this weekend. If you were hoping to snag something from me, keep an eye out - plenty of loveliness is still coming.
Onwards, cheerfully, sparkly, and with far fewer dramatic encounters. ✨🧵💛
