Good lighting starts with proportion.

Before you fall in love with a fixture, look at the space it has to hold. Ceiling height, sightlines, furniture scale and how the room is actually used all change what ‘right’ looks like. The goal isn’t to fill the void, it’s to create a focal point that feels balanced and considered from the moment you walk in.

There is a reason the staircase has always been a focal point in the most beautifully designed homes.

It is architectural by nature, height, structure, movement, proportion. It draws the eye upward. It connects one space to another.

It is, in many ways, the spine of a home. Which is exactly why leaving it without lighting is one of the most common design oversights we see.

Statement lighting in a staircase does not simply illuminate. It anchors. It gives the space a presence that no other fixture placement can replicate. This is the space in your home with the most to give!

Had the pleasure of installing the Ottobre Pendant for a private client in Saudi Arabia.

A refined cascade of elongated, leaf-inspired glass transforms the stairwell with a quiet, architectural presence. This is luxury lighting that feels considered, not loud. A staircase chandelier should do more than illuminate. It should bring proportion, warmth and intention to the space.
