I know I’ve been a little quiet on my page and group lately while trying to keep up with sewing and orders, but I’m still here working away behind the scenes surrounded by fabric, stuffing, ribbons and lots of cups of tea ☕✂️🤣

✨ What’s on my sewing table this weekend? ✨

I do have a few sewing orders to finish today 🧵✂️💜 but tomorrow I’ll be starting work on something a little different that I’m really excited about 🥰🐦

Some of you may remember the little bird pattern sneak peek I shared earlier this week 👀 but I’ve had my own special idea in mind for this one from the start ❤️

Rather than just a keepsake made from precious clothing, I wanted to create something that could be personalised in an extra meaningful way too… think treasured photos, heartfelt wording, and a keepsake designed to hold precious memories close 🥹💕

This little bird could be made from loved one’s clothing, baby clothes, school uniforms, graduation clothing and more 💜

So before I get started tomorrow, I’d love to know…

✨ SNEAK PEEK ✨

Something a little different is coming to Stacey’s Loveable Keepsakes 🐦💜

I’ve been looking at a brand new bird keepsake design and I’ll be making a tester first before deciding on the final size (as I may make a few little tweaks along the way 🙈✂️🧵).

What I really love about this design is the large tummy area, which could be perfect for adding a treasured photo of a loved one, a special message, or simply creating a beautiful keepsake made from a loved one’s clothing 💕 It could also make such a lovely keepsake made from baby clothes too 🥹

This is just a little sneak peek for now 👀 but I’d absolutely love to know your thoughts…

This memory popped up this week and wow… what a time that was.

Back in 2020 during Covid, I had the idea to create this special bear as a tribute to our incredible NHS heroes 🩺🌈💙 It was something completely different for me at the time, made from brand new fabric rather than a loved one’s clothing, with a fully handmade scrubs outfit, mask, hat and little bag.

My original hope was for it to be donated to James Cook Hospital for display as a little reminder of the amazing work our frontline staff were doing, but sadly due to CE testing regulations and the risk of it ending up in the wrong hands, that couldn’t happen.

So instead, this little bear stayed with me 🤍

It’s become a keepsake of its own — a reminder of such a strange, difficult time that none of us will ever forget, but also of the strength, kindness and community spirit that came from it 🥹✨

I still keep it now as a sample and as a little piece of history from a time that changed so much for us all. 💙🌈

🤍 This beautiful handmade Regular Jointed Memory Bear was lovingly made using a loved one’s shirt, creating a keepsake full of comfort and special memories.

Personalised with “Daddy Bear ###” and “Theo” on the feet, making it even more meaningful for this lovely family 🧸✨

This order was placed through my website and is now in its forever home, bringing much needed comfort and helping keep precious memories close 🤍

A little behind the scenes from a late shift last night ✂️🧵💜

I’m running a few days behind with my sewing orders, so I had a productive evening getting back on track… and this beautiful lap/cot-size blanket is currently in the making 🩷

This one is part of Karen’s order, which I’m hoping to have all finished this week ✨ I just love how all the different fabrics come together to tell such a special story.

I actually used to offer memory blankets on my website a few years ago but took them off due to my health at the time… and now I’m wondering 🤔

Should I bring them back?

If I did, I’d probably start with lap/cot size like this one to keep things manageable. I’d love to know what you all think — is this something you’d like to see available again? 💬👇
