Thank you everyone, crafters and customers alike who have made the last 3 years so amazing. We have had the pleasure and priviledge of meeting and getting to know the most wonderful people.

Thank you for all your kind gifts and messages - you all hold a special place in our hearts.

Another thank you goes to my very special friend and international travel buddy Nicky Hall who was there on our first day and our last (we are already planning our next, long awaited trip)

So I'll give this retirement thing another try ....

After 3 glorious years, this will be our final weekend.
The Chicken Shed - Artisan Emporium will close 4pm Bank Holiday Monday 31st August.

It has been a total honour and privilege creating this platform for local artisan crafters to showcase their amazing talents and provide Hopley House customers the opportunity to see and buy home accessories, gifts, jewellery and greetings cards that are totally unique.

Frenchic will remain at Hopley House - watch out for more details.

I am finally retiring (again .....)

Thank you so much for your friendship, support and encouragement, we have thoroughly enjoyed the last 3 years. Please pop in over the weekend- we really have met the most wonderful people and we will miss you all.

Tah dah!

My bank holiday Frenchic project.

I took a once loved crescent shaped table and turned it into a beautiful statement piece.

Starting with sugar soap to clean away any stubborn dirt and grease, followed by a light sanding.
Then a very rough coat of Polar Bear (Artisan range) followed by patchy covering of Green with Envy and Straw Hat (Trim range). Next a coat of Crackle Glaze. When that's dry a top coat of On a Whim (Al Fresco) and watch the magic happen. Browning Wax was applied to all the edges and blended in with Clear Wax.

You've got to agree - it's a total transformation!
