Hello lovely people. The time has come for Eddie and I to retire after working for circa 50 years. We are ready for the next chapter filled with adventures and fun together. It has been a real pleasure over the last 7 years at Driftwood & Dahlia creating our lovely wee Garden Centre, also meeting so many gardeners/plant lovers and providing advice. To allow us to retire we are having a Yard Sale this weekend and everything is priced to go. Plants, shop stock, garden furniture and greenhouses are reduced by 50% or more. Opening hours Saturday and Sunday, 11am until 4 pm. Come and grab yourself a bargain! Alison x

Good morning Lovely people's 😍
Just to let everyone know that our new opening hours are now 11am until 4pm 6 days a week 😀
We will be closed on Thursdays for stocking up on beautiful garden plants and flowers 😀

Hello there! You might be wondering when we will be reopening after being closed over the winter months. Well the good news is we are planning to open in time for Easter. We have a great selection of plants in stock ready to brighten up your garden. All the plants in stock are frost hardy so can be planted outside without risk of damage due to frost/cold weather. We also have a good selection of herbs which are alway popular (lavender, selection of thyme, rosemary, chives, garlic, various mints, parsley). Finally for now, we have large bags of Erin compost(our favourite as an all round compost). Hope to see you soon. Alison & Eddie x

Can you help? Does anyone know who these two are? They have been into the garden centre recently and "borrowed" around 25 pairs of secateurs 😏 and some hosepipe spray guns 😏 and we wanted to contact them and ask when they are going to return them. At Driftwood & Dahlia we can offer various services such as gardening advice, create hanging baskets arrangements and deliver your purchases. What a lovely Easter weekend with the sun shining & blue sky, so uplifting plus a welcome change to recent weather 😊😊. We have had a busy few days since we opened our wee garden centre with many of our regulars back to see us. Great to catch up after what seemed a very long winter & to start getting back to gardening. FYI, We now have tomatoes, Broad beans, mangetout peas, sweet peas, herbs plus so much more available. In the last photo you will see a new addition to the plants we normally grow. I believe he is called Charlie 🐈 😂.

Hello all our lovely gardening friends. While our garden centre has been closed over the winter months we have been busy working away behind the scenes making further improvements with more greenhouses installed, a wider range of flowers, shrubs, small trees & garden supplies. We also have lots of hand made items in our artisan gift shop. We are reopening at Easter, and hope to see you soon. Meantime here’s some photos. Alison & Eddie x
