Our floor fitting expertise goes beyond just the stunning planks that sit on top of the subfloor but renovation and maintenance of the subfloor itself. This space required a full screed renovation, the old quarry tiles were covered over without proper moisture management leading to some surface damp. To combat this, we added moisture resistant smoothing compound sandwiched around a damp proofing membrane. Allowing the subfloor to be both flat and future proof.

Our floor fitting expertise goes beyond just the stunning planks that sit on top of the subfloor but renovation and maintenance of the subfloor itself. A lovely 1800s property near Ross on Wye finished in our English shade engineered oak flooring. This job was particularly challenging as it required a full screed renovation. Adding a moisture proof membrane where one wasn’t present before. On top of that the floor itself looks fantastic and the bullnose quadrant adds a sympathetic but elegant solution to taking the old skirtings off.

After a quick ply line to replace some old fingerblocks, we unified this hallway space that was one separated by a small porch with our American Oak shade. We are particularly pleased with the L bar trims that surround the front doorway. Not only are the joints tight and the finish meticulous but the trims allow the floor to contract and expand naturally without butting into the surrounding fixtures.
