Time for a proper reintroduction.

Bos Interiors has grown and evolved so much recently, and I realised many of you do not know the story behind the brand or the person behind the designs.

So here is a little glimpse into me.

I was born in the Netherlands, but England has been home since 2002. I originally studied textile arts, which probably explains my lifelong obsession with beautiful fabrics, layers and texture. Materials tell stories, and I have always believed interiors should too.

Travel has shaped me deeply. From missionary work in China to living in California for six months, every place changed how I see colour, light and space. Dutch minimalism. Californian warmth. English countryside charm. It all finds its way into my work.

I also fell completely head over heels for an English sailor who, hilariously, does not eat fish. He taught me to sail, and now being out on the water is one of my greatest joys. It is where I reset, reflect and often find my best ideas.

I love cooking. It is absolutely my love language. Staying fit is non negotiable because energy, creativity and family are everything to me.

One of my biggest privileges is working alongside my daughter. We run two businesses under one roof, and sharing this journey with her is something I will never take for granted.

I am one of four siblings, all still living in the Netherlands, so I suppose I was the adventurous one.

Every project I take on carries pieces of this story. Different cultures. Different textures. Different ways of living. All woven together to create spaces that feel inviting, layered and full of character.

There's something magnetic about wandering down unfamiliar streets and discovering the doors that line them. Each one feels like a preview of the life within, a carefully chosen frame for someone's world.

Post-holiday reality check: Time to stop putting things off!!

I walked back through my front door after my holiday and couldn't ignore it anymore. Every half-finished project, every "I'll sort that out later" was suddenly impossible to overlook.
The study still has no carpet. Those blinds I've been researching for six months? Still not ordered. The cushions are flat and tired. The wall where we scuffed the paint moving furniture? Still marked.

Something about being away makes you see your own space differently. You come home refreshed and suddenly wonder why you've been living with things that don't work.
So I'm drawing a line. No more excuses, no more "when I have time." I'm ordering the blinds this week. The carpet is being measured. New cushions are being made.

It's time to stop living around problems and start fixing them.
