And that’s it. Our story comes to an end.
Thank you to every artist, every customer and all of those around us who gave us such support and kindness. I will miss every one of you!
I am going to end with this final image, the beautiful boat made for me by Chris of flotsam and jetsam Flotsam and Jetsam Beach Boats. As I sail away from Made on the Marsh, and towards new shores. I have loved this project and I have stuck with it through thick and thin, when it would have been easier to walk away, it kept me held tight, because I have built this with passion and determination. It has been successful, it has been brilliant and vibrant and it has been more than I could have dreamed it would ever be!
So now…. ??

Isn’t this piece stunning? It has been made by Dungeness Cottage Pottery it is now on display in our window. If you can catch it in the evening, you will see it beautifully lit from inside.
This piece isn’t for sale, but it shows what Millie is capable of creating!! I am so proud to call this lady my friend!

JK’S Kitchen the lovely Kelly popped in to the shop on Monday because she heard Carrie Bratton Art and Music play a violin. It was being prepared for a music lesson with a beginner student (at the tender age of 70 something). Kelly mention it is something on her bucket list to be able to play the violin, so this led to an impromptu violin lesson !! And she did brilliantly 🎻 🎵
You never know what might happen in this little island of joy and chaos that is the ‘wrong end of new Romney high street’ hahah! ( this was the snotty little phrase used by one of our detractors when we opened. For us, it has been very much the perfect place to be!)
