Just completed another clean and efficient installation of the legendary Jøtul F 602 wood stove!
This compact Norwegian cast-iron classic is one of our absolute favorites for smaller spaces, cabins, tiny homes, or as a cozy secondary heater. With its small footprint (roughly 25" tall x 13" wide x 21" deep) and 160 lb solid build, it tucks beautifully into tight areas while delivering reliable heat for up to 800 sq ft.
Key highlights of this install:
- Flexible flue options: We configured it for a top outlet (most common), but it also supports rear connection if your chimney layout requires it.
- Proper clearances to combustibles observed, with floor protection and heat shielding where needed for safety and code compliance.
- Full connection to a lined chimney system for optimal draft and performance.
- Optional accessories added: rear heat shield for reduced clearances and external air intake for better combustion in tighter homes.
The Jøtul 602 is famously easy to install and maintain — no complicated grates or ash pans, just straightforward, long-lasting design with excellent radiant heat and a handy cooktop surface for boiling the kettle or simmering a pot.
Customer feedback on these stoves is consistently outstanding: efficient burns, easy lighting, and that unmistakable timeless Jøtul quality that lasts for decades.
