Mehndi was first applied in the Middle East, as a means to cool down the body. A dot was applied to the palm of the hands and helped to co

ol the body. After becoming bored with the look of the single dot on the palm, the early users of mehndi began to add lines and other shapes. Eventually this elaboration of fine lines lead to the beautiful and elegant designs we see today. Mehndi is sometimes used for weddings, special occasions, religous festivals, and sometimes just for simple beautification, it all depends on one's interest towards mehndi. From childhood I have been very passionate about mehndi and the talent needed to create such beautiful designs. I have had no proffessional training but have self taught myself the application and designing of mehndi at home, while being inspired by many different talented mehndi artists. With this self taught talent, I started applying mehndi on family members and friends and then started applying mehndi at weddings, parties and different functions. With my interest towards mehndi I started applying mehndi on canvases and candles to give them a more unqiue look, which will bring out grace and elegance in peoples homes and give that unique Middle eastern touch. Mehndi cancles and canvases are an ideal present to gift to family and friends on weddings, birthdays, religous occasions, and many other events.
