New year , New Direction.

Hello my lovely followers, I am a little late to the new year party 🤣 but as we approach the end of the month I thought I would update you all with some new changes.

Firstly I hope you all enjoyed the festive time with your families and are all having a great start to 2023, working on your new goals and ambitions.

I know a few of you have noticed I have been a little absent from this page and here is why.

I seem to have fallen into the role of office manager for our other family business , funny enough I didn’t even apply for the role 🤣

But all jokes aside my husband needed someone in the office daily and that someone is now me. So since the start of December I have been learning my new role and undertaking what it throws at me. And surprisingly I am really enjoying it, enjoying the change but also enjoying a structure back in my life which I think was very much needed for me personally.

So what’s happening with Amour Homes?

I think anyone in retail would back me up when I say the market is really struggling right now, not because of anything else other than the current economic crisis.
I have always pride myself on great prices for top quality items and never will I undercut these values.

So I feel for the time being taking a break from selling is what is needed. Unfortunately I can not buy in huge bulk orders from wholesalers so can never compete with high street bargain shops , nor do I believe in increasing my prices for my customers at a time their money matters so much.

Whilst my new role takes me on a different journey I have loved every step of this journey and what a journey it has been over the past 2 years.

Never did I expect the amount of support, the amount of sales that I have received in a short amount of time.

I have worked so hard to create a brand that I love, so I would be devastated to let it go forever.
But for now the time is right to take a break and I hope to return with my values and beliefs that I started out with.

So not goodbye just see you later 😘

Time to pause……………

A real honest and open post from me today.
I have always been a honest person and honest with you all, and also not one to give up, (I am a Leo after all 🤣)
So this post has come from plenty of reflection.

I haven’t fallen out of love with this account or the business by any means, I still feel just as motivated as I did when I started, only difference is starting a small business during lockdown when time was what we all had, to now managing it all with a busy life is proving tricky.
As most families know life isn’t 9-5 and my evenings are probably more busy than the day time with managing family life and everything that goes with it.

I just feel the scales aren’t balanced right now, and I have noticed I haven’t the time to be on here as much as I need to be to showcase my online business.

What happens then is I am beating myself up for not posting enough, not sharing enough, not helping my business being seen then all this creates anxiety and that certainly isn’t how life should be.

So right now it is all about finding the balance and it’s ok to take time out to PAUSE.

What makes a small business different to the big shops?

✨For me it is all about those little touches and attention to detail ✨

I knew how i wanted this brand to look before I even had a product in sight to sell.
I have always been an attention to detail type of person, I mean if anything is worth doing it’s worth doing well, don’t you agree?

So for me I knew the products I choose to sell will be of quality and speak for themselves but I wanted you to have the full experience of luxury, which I why I choose our beautiful bespoke packaging and little touches.

These little touches represents me, my vision, my brand, and the quality behind it all.

Now you don’t get that when you shop on the high street, I mean they even charge you for a carry bag to put your items in these days.

Sometimes you need to STOP ✋🏻 sit back, reflect and appreciate what you have.

And I couldn’t be more grateful to all my wonderful customers.

Of course I love to gain new followers and new customers, those choosing to support and follow me for the first time is so exciting.
But I guess for me the real testament to my small business is the continued returning customers.

Yes I am still new , yes I am still learning, and no I won’t always get it right, but I am just me being me not trying to be anyone else.

So when you choose to return back to me time and time again, it gives me belief that I must be heading in the right direction.
