Is it too hot to walk my dog in this uk heat wave? When it’s 25°C outside, pavements can reach 52°C in direct sun, meaning today they'll be over 60! Hot enough to severely burn sensitive paws. Heatstroke is also a risk as dogs struggle to cool themselves down, especially flat-faced breeds, older dogs, puppies, and those with thick coats.
To reduce the risk:
• Walk early morning or later evening
• Stick to grass and shaded routes
• Test pavements with the back of your hand for 10 seconds
• Always bring water
• Shorter walks are safer in hot weather

A missed walk is always better than risking their health and safety ❤️

Today, I'm celebrating a wonderful father. The man who loves our children openly, shows up every day, and fills our lives with laughter, comfort and security. We are so lucky to have him. ❤️
But I know today isn't a happy day for everyone.
To those missing their dad, grieving a partner, mourning a child, longing to become a father, or carrying the weight of a relationship that never was what it should have been, I'm thinking of you too.
Father's Day can hold joy and heartbreak side by side. Whatever today looks like for you, your feelings are valid.

Yes. It is completely normal to cry every day after losing a pet.
When we lose a beloved pet, we aren't just grieving an animal. We're grieving a companion, a routine, a source of comfort, unconditional love, and countless memories woven into everyday life.
Some days the tears come in waves. Other days they appear when you least expect them - at feeding time, on a walk, or when you catch yourself looking for them in their favourite spot.

There is no timeline for pet loss grief, and there is no "right" way to mourn. If you're crying every day, it doesn't mean you're not coping. It means your love for them is still very present.
Be gentle with yourself.

There’s no right way to cope after the loss of a pet. Some days you’ll want to talk about them, and other days it may hurt too much to say their name.
Be gentle with yourself. Share their stories, look through photos, cry when you need to, and remember that grief is part of love.

For some people, creating a memorial keepsake can bring comfort. A tangible reminder of the love, memories, and bond that will always remain close to your heart.
