Real Couple: Kia and Josh

Meet one of our 2026 Nearlywed couples, Kia and Josh, who celebrated their beautiful wedding at Sneaton Castle Whitby

From a proposal that took a few unexpected turns to a pastel wildflower theme bursting with colour, their wedding day was full of special moments. And of course, our Confetti Carnival mix was there to add a little extra colour to their confetti moment!

We caught up with Kia and Josh to hear their love story, the details behind their big day and their advice for couples currently planning their wedding.

21 years of Shropshire Petals. 🌸🙌

What started as a little idea on our family farm in Shropshire has grown into so much more.

After years of keeping flowers on the stems, the Bubb’s began experimenting with removing the petals to create something new, biodegradable petal confetti.

And from there, Shropshire Petals was born.

21 years later, we’re still growing flowers on the family farm, hand picking and drying our flowers to create natural petal confetti, dried flower bunches and arrangements.

We’ve grown, we’ve changed and we’ve embraced new ways of doing things, from solar-powered planting and weeding robots on the farm to our new, energy-efficient home and continuing to work towards more regenerative farming practices.

A lot has changed along the way, but some things haven’t.

We’re still a family farm, passionate about growing real flowers and creating something sustainable and beautiful for your biggest moments.

And we’ve got something special planned for our birthday this Thursday…

8 Charlotte living her best life in a trailer full of confetti. 😂

9 We sent out lots of confetti, with our sachets proving especially popular. 🌸☺️

10 & 11 A little look at what the dogs get up to on the farm… Maris enjoying a quiet moment while Amber stole a hi-vis and absolutely refused to give it back! 🐶🐕

12 John, Toey and pals headed to Hawkstone Harvest Festival at The Farmer’s Dog.🍻

18, 19 & 20 Charlotte, Erin, Jemma & friends completed an epic 24-hour relay at Alderford Lake to raise money for Level Water an incredible charity providing one-to-one swimming lessons for children with disabilities. We’re very proud of you all! 🏊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️
