Banquette seating is one of our favourite design choices for dining areas, perfect for long relaxed meals and lingering over chats.

Here’s why they work so well:

• Comfort- soft yet supportive upholstery means longer more relaxed dining.

• Space saving- corners can become practical seating areas, storage can be added underneath.

•Family friendly - perfect for little ones to all squeeze on together and keeps the teens at the table longer (always a win!).

•Adds layers- an area to add colour pattern and texture creating an inviting focal point.

Looking back at some of the spaces we’ve created for children 💕

These designs are a careful balance of functionality-storage, lighting and layout, mixed with their own personal touches and interests.

Children’s rooms need to evolve with them, support sleep, play and study as they grow. We always leave space in the layout for that shift, whether it’s a larger bed, a proper desk, or just allowing enough flexibility for them to move things around when they fancy it.

Finally we’ve reached the end of January - Here’s what we’ve been up to in the studio:

1-3 ~ Starting January right with plenty of interiors inspiration and celebrations

4~ Love this newly upholstered footstool, we asked for extra piping on the corners so we could tie these sweet bows.

5~ Very much enjoying the update pics from Neil -It’s all in the details and we’ve certainly covered them all in this project!

6-7~ Creating a gallery wall in this cosy snug, a few more finishing touches before we can share this space.

8~ Making time to head out and hunt for treasure.

9-14~ Evolving projects at various stages and exciting new ones!

15-17~ Materials and finishes we are working with.

18 ~ Plenty of (muddy) dog walks

19~ Finishing the month with the always brilliant Good Chat with with some extremely helpful tips from guest speaker .rochell

See you in February 🤍

Location is everything in this project. Set right on the seafront we wanted the interiors to echo the relaxed coastal feeling. Natural textures are balanced with vintage pieces and locally designed wallpaper and art work, enhancing the sense of place.

Ending 2025 with gratitude 💕 Being invited into someone’s home to redesign and reimagine alongside them is a huge privilege that we never take for granted.
Thank you for all the support and encouragement this year! Wishing all of our collaborators, friends and followers a wonderful New Year.

Before & After ~ with design details.

Turning an awkward space into purposeful storage. We worked with the existing footprint to design a layout that meets the needs of the home owners, saving time and budget. We are delighted with how this pantry turned out, thoughtfully positioned opposite the cooking area, it’s a place to store all the kitchen necessities out of sight and keeps cooking ingredients close to hand.

If you’re planning a kitchen project in 2026 we’d love to hear from you 📧

Before & After ~ with design details.

A closer look at the dining area of this recently completed kitchen project. Showing how a few key decisions transformed these small rooms into a modern family kitchen, without the need to extend.

Over the next few posts we are going to share more kitchen before and afters and the details and decisions behind the design.

Let us know any questions or sources you’d like to know.

I always look forward to reading gift guides at this time of year, they’re a lovely source of inspiration and thoughtful ideas.

This year we’ve partnered with to curate and shoot our own edit of beautiful pieces that would make special gifts. Here are a few favourites, each from an independent or small business. Send us a message to receive the full guide 📧

✨Before & After Kitchen Transformation ✨

For this project we carefully reworked the existing floor plan to create flow and function without the need to add more space. By removing the old chimney stack we utilised the supporting wall to introduce a bespoke banquette dining area, which is now the focal point of this kitchen.

A thoughtful rework that shows you don’t always need more space, just good design!

A favourite corner of our latest kitchen project, featuring layered lighting, natural materials and a considered mix of old and new. We approach kitchens just as we do any other space; by designing for how we want it to feel, and this one most definitely invites a glass or two 🍷

We’ll be sharing the full design process along with before and afters very soon.

Thank you to for capturing the exact mood of this kitchen design.

A hallway is often the most travelled path in a home, a space used by everyone yet rarely given the same attention as other rooms. When designed with intention, hallways can become places to linger.
We like to include a seat or two to perch on, a mix of art and antiques, practical storage and layers of lighting, transforming a corridor into the thread that connects a home.
