We're delighted that the King Cole Truffle yarn is finally back in stock after quite along absence (King Cole had to find a new mill to spin the yarn).

It is lovely and soft 🤩 and makes the most gorgeous fluffy soft toys 🧸

Hmmm.....should I feel accomplished or not?!

I've tidied my sewing table (so I can resume work on the Legit Kits Kracken quilt) and thought I'd 'finish' off a few bits and pieces before I got anything else out!

2 bolster cushions now complete - started circa 5 yesrs ago.....one tiny hole mended in a handmade hoodie- no longer fits the child it was made for but Florence is pleased.....a new strap made for a much loved bag - 5 minutes work but sat on the pile for 3 years 🤣 🤭

Does anybody else put stuff off even if it won't take that long?

Hermes loves his bright colourful animal alphabet book made from one of the new Lewis and Irene panels - there is also a alphabet quilt panel and accompanying animal fabrics 🥰

Hermes has chosen a beautiful new Ombre floral fabric from Lewis and Irene this week ♥️

I've used half a metre of the fabric (plus some white on white to make this 'quick and easy ' but stunning table runner....but there are so many different ways you can use Ombre fabrics!

Note to self though....when getting side tracked into making shop samples....don't decide to free motion quilt rather than a few quick straight lines 🤣 however the finished effect is fantastic so i'm glad for being side tracked!

Well there is still time to book onto the patchwork braided pouch workshop which is this coming Thursday 4th June.

It's an all day workshop so you'll need to bring your lunch and fabric requirements will be sent out when you book!

The next sewing machine drop off day is next Thursday 4th June - all details in the picture.

Normal turn around is 7-10 days depending on Reg's workload but we do promise to phone you the minute your beloved machine comes back through the door.....

You have to laugh.....in the midst of a May heat wave 🥵 and what should arrive but the first of the Christmas fabrics! 🎄

In all seriousness, Christmas fabric for this coming Christmas were ordered well before last Christmas was even firmly on the horizon and then they are all delivered in June/July so that you can all get a head start on Christmasd delights 😊

I have the best staff - for my birthday (in April) Lauree gifted me a free day off - so so kind of her and so generous 😇 😊 🥰. I took it today and Hermes and I had a lovely time at Carding Mill Valley - the 'white arrow' in the photo is Hermes swimming!

The upside for Laureen is that she got to unbox the (finally arrived) Coral Reef 🪸 range from Tula Pink.....lucky lucky lady! We do need some help though as it won't all fit on the shelf so please rush down to buy some 🤣

It's been a Framfield kinda start to the week.....

This is the most popular of the Sussex Seamstresses patterns and it's easy to see why! So popular that two ladies went home with the fabric for their next one!

Five lovely ladies were busy in our workshop area sewing their dresses today (apologies Lisa, forgot to take a photo of yours) - we had two completed dresses, one toile with a few alterations and a fabulous funky rayon bodice to be finished at home.

I've added two more to my own Framfield collection - one in this glorious rainbow check and a jersey version (though I did do gathers not pleats for this one and dropped the bodice slightly).

One of the biggest reasons I love this pattern sooo much is that it is perfectly written (the sleeves, and pleated sections fit together like a dream) but it's also easy to make small alterations if you need to to get a perfect fit for you 😍 Yippee for Jayne at the Sussex Seamstress.

Hermes is dreaming of a summer holiday at the beach with this week's bandana!

Featuring a digital print of colourful ✨️ 🐚 shells there was not a chance that I wouldn't order this Moda fabric when I was shown it as I knew Florence would absolutely ❤️ it! It does well with the sand fabric from the same range.

She's as pleased as punch with her new bag (another new pattern tested, phew!) and it's just the right size to fit seaside essentials in.

The bag pattern is from Knot and Thread and was a relatively simple make and didn't require any hardware which brought down the cost a lot.

The addition of a Puffin-tastic pocket is courtesy of the oh-so-talented seaparrotdesign 😍
