A very special project for AxBoard.

Set at the entrance to Silent Valley in the Mournes, the historic Water Superintendent’s House has recently undergone a major restoration as part of NI Water’s work to protect the listed buildings in its care. The 120-year-old granite building was originally built to house the superintendent associated with the Silent Valley water scheme.

AxBoard was proud to play a part in its next chapter, creating and installing the new kitchen and these made-to-measure lockers as part of the refurbishment.

Working within a historic property like this called for a very different approach – creating functional new spaces while respecting the character of a building that has stood for more than a century.

A brilliant project to have been involved in and one we’re very proud to add to the AxBoard portfolio.

Found the perfect colour? We’ll take it from there. 🎨

For this kitchen, our customer came to us with a specific colour she loved. Using our paint-matching service, we recreated her chosen shade across the Aylesford Micro Shaker cabinetry to create a kitchen that feels completely personal to her home.

Because your kitchen shouldn’t be limited to a standard colour palette.

What started as an idea quickly became one of the most practical features in this bespoke utility room.

Designed and built for Kerry football legend, Kieran Donaghy these custom drying rails were created to help manage the realities of family life in Ireland. With dedicated hanging space, integrated ventilation and discreet storage, clothes can be dried efficiently and kept completely out of sight.

A simple idea, thoughtfully designed and expertly built.

Special thanks to .ie for helping bring this project to life.
