If anyone is considering getting their home rewired, we 100% recommend HomeRewire!

The initial communication after submitting a home rewire request was quick. Jamie then arranged to come to our home for an assessment. His communication was open, informative and straight to the point. He used up to date costs and quotes and was honest about what we may or may not need. We didn’t feel pressured or influenced to go ahead with the work during this process - absolutely not your typical salesman who tries to sell you and convince you to purchase all sorts of stuff!

I popped in to the shop in Newton Mearns to collect the preparation pack and the girls in the office (Amy and Amy) couldn’t have been any nicer. Welcoming, helpful, approachable and friendly - the kind of girls you meet in the toilet on a night out and end up with a pal.

Finally, the rewiring process… we really couldn’t have asked for a better job. Zack, Ryan and Daniel arrived promptly at the agreed time and got straight to work, and what a job they have done! The electrics are spot on, an absolutely brilliant job! But even more than that, the respect they had for our home and our possessions was exceptional. We popped in half way through the works, and although a messy job, things were well organised. On the final day, we also had Stevie, who has done a great job repairing all the plaster throughout our home due to the necessary works - all of them appearing to be the kind of guys who just want to come in, get on with their work and do a good job.

The communication and helpful hints/tips for the rewire preparation via email and text prior to the job starting were excellent. We knew exactly what to do and what to expect.

On completion, we really couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. Everyone we have dealt with have had excellent customer service skills, have been nothing but professional, knowledgable, honest, reliable and done exactly as we were promised when we first committed to having the work done. We highly recommend!

Garden Cabin Install ⚡️

It’s another record breaking month for our service team 👏

Making Good After The Cut ⚡️

A rewire means chasing into walls and ceilings, and yes, that leaves cuts and channels behind.

We don't hand a job back looking like that.

Every hole, however awkward the angle, gets properly filled and finished before we leave, ready straight for paint or paper.

It's the difference between "the wiring's done" and "the job's actually finished."

Old Wiring, What You're Actually Looking At ⚡️

Rubber, paper, lead sheathed, even bare iron wire, all still found in older Scottish homes.

Rubber insulation cracks and falls away over time, leaving bare wires exposed.

Lead sheathed cable does not earth reliably, and the insulation inside breaks down too.

If your wiring looks anything other than modern white PVC, it is worth getting checked.

The rule with old wiring is simple, do not disturb it, get it looked at properly.
