A 24-hour pool marathon in aid of Cystic Fibrosis was to be held at The Plough and Harrow at Shevingtonin 1997. Landlord Nick Du Toit (right, aka The Plough Potter) was taking on Bazz Pulford the Lyndon Avenue Rattler to raise cash for the charity. Evie continues to show her range and willingness to learn on the fly. She had another great game as always, but yesterday we needed her at 6, a position outside her comfort zone, and she simply smiled and said okay. Then she got on with it and seemed to find another gear.
A great centre, a great 13, and more importantly a great team player who puts the team first and rises to whatever is asked of her. That attitude is invaluable.
