One of my air plants has decided to flower 😍 isn’t it sweet! Air plants are monocarpic, which means they flower only once, the mother plant dies back, but fear not! As part of the ‘deathbloom’ phase, they produce babies, usually 2 or 3. So over the next load of months I will have lots more air plants from this pretty little Tillandsia 🥰 Air plants are epiphytes which means they grow on other plants and structures rather than needing to be rooted in soil. Air plants absorb water through their leaves not their roots and prefer bright but indirect light. Mine live in the bathroom where they love the more humid conditions 😊
