Special meaning of the Trinity Knot and irish lace inside from our lace collars in our dancing days hand crocheted ..
Then my embroidery of the Trinity Knot .. to represent our costumes when we danced as they were all hand embroirdered.
Special message on the base from her family ..
All very special and unique .

Well I have no words other than super delighted ... the ladies have been working hard in our classes and achieved so much and learnt lots of techniques in the making and the glazing ..
So proud !

Glaze run out and bisque away in .. trying to get all work fired before heading away ..
Lovely results .. and reglaze worked .. sadly the big bowl cracked the chances we take in reglazing. But it can be touched up .. good I can fix broken ceramics ..

Kiln filled with more bisque wear for Mon and Tue evening classes and hfeathers for owl windchimes away in .. full steam ahead this week!

This is a big trend at the moment people want to learn and have on their pieces .. I term it as runny glazes

I have been teaching it for years and have achieved it simply without lots of layers of glazes as that is very costly ..

Anyway .. brush on glazing is the technique we use mostly at our classes .. but you can't the same effects.. and the piece must be vertical or slightly for it to run ..

Layering takes time as does brushing on glazes were dipping is much quicker..

These bowls turned out fab .. great patience on getting them made and then its all about the glaze ..

I personally love textures so the fish looks fab combining the glaze and texture!

We have decided to reglaze the 2 big pieces as they did not turn out exactly as they wanted but that is learning and that takes time!!
