πŸͺ΅πŸŒΊ 1 Week Allotment Update 🌺πŸͺ΅

So today we spent our first day up at the allotment after getting the all clear that the previous tenants have cleared their belongings from the plot and it’s now all ours to play with.

We met with the site Landscaper and made a plan for how we want to lay the plot out with the raised beds & paths and then we got the family down and we got to work on starting to clear out the weeds. Just from the first picture I already can see a fair difference and I feel like we’re really going to get somewhere within the next few days. Once the weeds are cleared we can get in with the rotavator and get the ground turned and levelled out then it’ll be on to building the beds!

Honestly am so proud of what we have achieved in a few hours even if it is just a small amount and I’m so grateful we have such an amazing family that are willing to come down and work on it with us!

We may not of got done what I was hoping to get done today but I feel like we have achieved far more and I’m genuinely so proud of our progress so far. Originally we was going to b&q for paint to start on the shed glow up however plans changed and priorities shifted and I’m very glad they did. 😍

In a quest to upgrade our home and make her more aesthetically pleasing aswell as organising every corner I’ve been doing a lot of purchases and truthfully I am obsessed with everything I have gotten so far.

How can something that cost so little look so expensive and be of such insane quality?! Sorry but I am shook! Can we also take a little moment of appreciation for this little corner of my kitchen which once used to resemble sheer chaos and now feels clear & more pleasing to the eye?!

I cannot believe I am actually sat here writing this post.. wtf talk about a pinch me moment! 🀣

It’s official, I’ve been keeping such a big secret this last year but yesterday I signed on them dotted lines and have actually got myself my own little allotment. A space to create my own little sanctuary and a place for me to escape to when life gets crazy!

I cannot wait to bring you along on this journey with me of transforming this insane space! Here’s to my little place of peace and serenity.

It’s a big day in our household cos we’ve finally made a start on getting our new blinds fitted!!

After years of having no blinds in the living room or bedrooms and only having curtains we thought it was high time we got that fixed and thanks to we’re actually able to not only transform the rooms but also give us back that privacy we’ve been needing.

I have to say it but I’m bloody obsessed, a massive thank you to our lovely Hillary’s team for helping us make this happen. We appreciate you so much. Nothing but an easy stress free process from start to finish! πŸŽ€

helping me with yet another tiny home upgrade.. this time we’ve done another windowsill this time in our master bedroom before the new blinds get fitted in there..

Since we have decided to redecorate the entire house we’ve also decided that the crappy UPVC windowsills just aren’t the one and have decided to β€˜countrify them’ slightly and by adding this oak effect vinyl we’ve managed to give them a new lease of life without breaking the bank..

One tip I will give with jobs like this is simply just try stay as chill as you can and TAKE YOUR TIME. Tiktok makes it look so easy but it can be tricky especially if you have weird sticky out bits to cut around but if you take it slow you will be fine. Also make sure to do it when you’re in the house on your own so nobody can aggravate you when you’re concentrating.

Anyways we’re slowly but surely getting there with making our house our modern country cottage and we’re in love.

We’re honestly obsessed with how it’s turned out, I can’t believe this is actually our living room!! It feels like a completely different room!! 😍

Thank you to the boys at for absolutely smashing it once again. You’ve done the most insane job at helping us transform yet another room in our house and helping us create the home we’ve always dreamt of!!!

After a crazy morning and a house full of work men drilling and hammering about, I finally have my new kitchen worktops and I bloody love them!! Slowly but surely we’re making progress and our house is starting to resemble the home we’ve always wanted!!

Next stop for in here…. DIYing a shaker kitchen, a lick of paint and some new pretty Herringbone flooring and my kitchen will be done!!! πŸ’–

Anyone else decide they hate a piece of furniture and decide to upcycle it at almost 10pm at night? Cos sameeee!!

Fully forgot to take a β€˜before’ picture so you can have 2 β€˜afters’ instead! It actually looks cleaner now and im obsessed with how it came out! Not bad for a 10 minute job for less than a tenner! 🀣
