Jon took up woodturning after inheriting his Dad Rob’s lathe.

He creates beautiful, original handcrafted items here in North Devon, whilst listening to Planet Rock in the workshop!

Another commission piece, this time a lighthouse (fogwood 😉) with a live-edge base to look like wave-lashed rocks. Nice to do a fun make.
Now I really must get on and do some Christmas creations for all the upcoming craft shows!

Sorry guys, Sam’s bagged this lovely olive pot for herself! Couldn’t resist the absolutely gorgeous patterns in the wood. You never know what you’re going to get until it hits the lathe and this one’s just stunning 😀

Beautiful grain on this 24cm tall yew earring stand with ring tray, made as a commission for a local lady. Finished with microcrystalline wax and carnauba to bring out the depth of colour.
